  • lol it took a 10000 dollar tool and a 90 dollar an hour mechanic to replace a 150 to 200 dollar motor, when you could have just replaced it and saved the customer the money, but yes it is always better to know then to throw parts at stuff

  • @kdknitro And what would you do when you throw the part at the problem, but the problem isn't resolved? You've just wasted that money buying a useless part. It is far better to properly diagnose the problem and fix it correctly the first time. By the way, Duane was taking the trouble to show you his thinking. At least recognize that this video is educational.

  • @kdknitro Diagnose first, then replace, whats to say it wasnt bad wiring, connection,

    fuse connection, switch. no point in throwing a part and realise that it was bad switch contacts.

    Also this video is designed to educate.

    Name of the tool is, Snap-On Verus, it is also a scan tool, costs about 10 grand, you can probably find it used for $5000.00

  • good video! those caravans are used in my neighborhood to deliver mail! my route is a walking route. which means the mail carrier delivers 5 houses mail, moves the van, then delivers 5 more houses. every time the van gets moved so does the drivers window! lots more use than your average window! mike

  • It's simply *mechanical* resistance! The motor draws more current when it stalls!

  • I = V/r, Current is Voltage divided by Resistance. Technically if Amperage goes up your resistance goes down. 12(v)/2(r)=6(I), but if 12(v)/2.2(r)=5.45(I) . So, higher amperage means less resistance.

  • Nah! Dude More Amps Means High resistance.There's a lot of resistance there for it takes more electricity to do the same job.Since it takes more electric it will draw more amps. Peace! :):)

    More amps means less resistance.

  • looks like a bad spot on the motor at every rotation when current drops to zero. bad contacts.
