When my wife and I first got married 27 years ago, this was our song! We kept playing the whole Shootout at the Fantasy Factory album all the time! That album is from 1972, I think, but we got married in 1983, but at the time played that album about 200 times!
cool. where did you find this? Loved this era and the songs, but the live stuff, mainly on the road lp was awful, even when it was extended. Haven't heard any remastered remixed CD's but I had all of the vinyl and they released a lot of junk. Love this track from shootout album and tragic magic, the best tracks. Cool to see muscle shoals people again, barry beckett et al
The uncut version is available on muzu.tv -though even it flips to another video just before the end. I love the sax. Chris with 'feeling'- as always.
Bummer that this was cut. Steve had peritonitis and was very sick in hospital when he wrote these songs, so the whole Shoot Out at the Fantasy Factory album is kinda depressing.
love to hear the whole thing sometime. still thanx you got some great stuff. why do they cut it off before the jam part? it seems to always be this way with these traffic jams that are so better with the whole song. got blind man? vacant chair? mazambizue? ballad of a rock and rolla? more winwood hendrix? different light?
You can find this cut on one or more the Beat Club DVDs("The Best Of Beat Club 1973"). It is of course from 1973. Also on bootleg releases is an outasite version of "Shoot Out At The Fantasy Factory".

This is circa 72 and sometime after the Santa Monica gig. Chris Wood was always indulging, (over)
Somewhere there must be complete footage of this gig. Where?
Beautiful song this, I have the vinyl album and still play it.

dei Traffic mi piace tutto ; anche le canzoni che hanno avuto poco successo .

This song is definitely cut. What a shame. Such a great tune from the ''72/73 Traffic era.

Absolutely not 1980! Traffic was done long before this. This clip would have been around 1972.

It looks more like the 70s than 1980.

Unfortunately this is cut too short to
enjoy the beautiful finale;
Sitting all alone by the fireside,
Listen to the wind in the chimney top.
Haven't slept for days, and I'm still wide eyed
Try not to think, but my mind won't stop
Evening shadows making my heart sing out..
