The music when he's running through the graves always touched me for some reason, but I just listened to a sample of the remastered CD version on amazon (Track 20), and it's so clear I cried.
The Greatest scene of any movie ever!Everything IS perfect the MUSIC the ACTION and the SCENERY just AMAZING.The only scene that comes close for me is King Arthur's revival scene to Carl Orff music in Excalibur. If you haven't seen it take a look.
favorit moment when the camera goes up and you can see how big the graveyard really is. also unbelievable how good morricones music fits with your feelings, just like : after all what happend to them in the last 3 hours they finally made it to the graveyard where the gold is burried....finally arrived at this magical place....
The best western ever especially Tuko character was my favorite but Blondy, and the bad were also very very good. Soundtrack, costumes, locations all just perfect.
this is a must get your projector out and atch it in high qulity 300in ,,plus 6 bose speakers around yur bedroom for surround snd ,,you affent heard noffin like it ,,i think am in the film its fukin amazeing laa
EPIC!! one comment that I've seen is where TUCO runs like a sissy. Well, on his defense he is running like that because he is looking for the name on the grave, so he being tactful by using his hands and arms as guide. If he ran fast and normal he would not be successful; try it yourself.
I think that this movie is among the best final 20 minutes of any movie ever made. Since when has a movie gotten better in the final chapter? Usually they're pretty good or disappointing but your favourite parts are in the middle or something. Hollywood can't make an ending these days.
This movie? I watch for nearly 3 hours just to see this part. Epic belongs to this movie.
Sergio Leone had the Spanish Civil Guard to create the graveyard. This has to be one of the most iconic moments in film and a classic that never seems to fail each generation that watches it. Best movie ever.
I hope all and every understand that the entire film is an allegory for WWII. Clint = America Eli = Italy Lee = Germany The battle of the bridge = the Rapido fiasco ( Bing it ) Music at torture = death camps Clint super shooting artillery = US artillery ultra punch Lee loses his hat (authority) and gun (military) Arch Stanton = High (ultimate) no change (stasis) Itally+America= blow through German resistance Lee, the early scenes = zero honor = Nazism is total trash
Sergio Leone made classic trilogy. These films are unique cause keep getting better and better with every new film. The Good The Bad & The Ugly is pure masterpiece. All the actors did a brilliant job but Clint Eastwood and Eli Wallach were special. Nowadays they don't make Real Westerns like this one. Modern Hollywood films are useless remakes, stupid rip offs, crappy sequels etc - No creativity/class at all
I bought the special edition when it came out 6 or 7 yrs ago.Clint and Eli went into the studio and did some voice over work to restore 44 mins.I have watched this at least 50 times if not more.Actually every week I watch a scene while siting at my desk at work.Good this I own my own business or i would be in trouble!
@crazydeath1000 same here man. from the first time when i was 6 til now when i'm about to turn 21, there is no telling how many times i've seen this movie. and i almost watched it again tonight haha.

@crazydeath1000 hahahaha if this was a perfect world there would be enough hours in the day for that. you need to get this movie on DVD my friend. sounds like you love it as much as i do. and of course the other two parts of the trilogy: A Fistful of Dollars and For a Few Dollars More!

One of THE greatest friggin movies of ALL time - HANDS DOWN! Nuff Said!
Actually,, friggin... or non-friggin...! ;-)
And the finale, and the music, the use of individual instrument, leading, blending in, the emotion...just absolutely amazing, incredible... BRAVO!

As bad as Tuco is, in this scene when he runs through cemetary he's like a child in a candy store because he's so close to the buried treasure.
