    In all seriousness, the guy DID NOT squat 495, that lift would be laughed out of every powerlifting meet and gym in the world.

    Taking it down is only half the lift, if you can't stand up straight and walk it back into the rack under control, it doesn't count in my book.

  • It's the rack that is the problem. You should be able to just dump the weight, not walk it around the gym.

  • It's a low bar back squat. There is a natural pocket that is created when you drop the bar down. I find it more comfortable and sturdier at higher weights.

    That's lowbar squat form.

  • First of all that bar is WAY too low, you should not have to move more then an inch or 2 to get into proper form. He then walks into position bearing the weight on his back because he isn't standing up straight which might hurt him and makes the lift harder. Lastly the bar isnt on his shoulders its on his back which is just plain stupid. Squats are very dangerous if you don't have the right form and if this guy didn't break/sprain/crack something I would be very surprised.

  • @luckyduckfuck Haha, well, squatting is an exercise that works out a lot and works out big muscles of your lower body. You also need a good back and ab muscles to support how straight you are. And not doing squats or knowing how to do them doesn't make you fat. XD
