Losin' It is a 1983 comedy film starring Tom Cruise, Shelley Long, Jackie Earle Haley, and John Stockwell. The film is directed by Curtis Hanson. It was filmed largely in Calexico, California.
Contents [I'm gladly to say that this film was recorded in the current city I live right now] Calexico :D
Glad Tom Cruise is so rich now that he isn't worried about the few extra bucks in royalties he's missing out on by allowing this to be on youtube for so long... or maybe he prefers that this movie lives on youtube rather than on network TV where people can point and say "hey... isn't that...". I don't think this movie is that bad at all really.
WOW! I haven't seen this masterpiece, this lost classic, since the one time I saw it in the mid-80's! Funny, I always thought it simply was set then, in 1983, not back in 1965. Goin' for some of that Porky's action, eh? Losin' It... I've always wanted to say that this is my favourite movie ever! (but I really can't)
@hopevol2 It was a good thing that JEH made a comeback in 2006 in All The King's Men with an Oscar nomination in Little Children after an absence of 13 years - the reason is that he wasn't given any movie offers which made him do odd jobs. A talented actor like JEH should be making movies for he is excellent in both drama and comedy. He stole the show at Losin' It from its lead stars,Tom Cruise and Shelley Long. No question about it.
@RichHartford74 Yea. JEH is a wonderful & extremely talented actor & is argueably one of the greatest actors, if not the GREATEST actor alive. He deserves movie offers because somebody with his kind of talent deserves to be viewed & admired by people. Btw in this film as well as most of his other films, JEH usual plays the secondary/supporting roles. Ironically though, as you said, he ends up stealing the show from the lead stars. I have a feeling that he'll continue to move on to great roles :)
@TBAKC 1982 but it was released in 1983.It was that year when four movies of Tom Cruise were released - Losin' It, The Outsiders,All The Right Moves and Risky Business - which catapulted him into becoming a superstar.
Normally, I don't like to see some bully in a movie like this picking on some awesome and very cool guy like Spider, but that blond bully sure looked good out of his clothes.
JEH!!!!!!!!!! I <33333 him!! Why weren't boxers invented before?! lol These kids need boxers! TC is brushing his hair, lol, nowadays guys just ruffle it up.
i've been scrolling through a lot of JEH videos ( i needed my daily fix) and you commented on most of them, and i was like HELL YES. SOMEONE ELSE WHO'S OBSESSED. I AM ALONE, NO MORE.
Oh my goodness, did Tom Cruise really pop out the book Lolita in the begining? b/c that book is sick as fuck! Pedaphile book. Love how he hides it too(:
@SpiderFan23 Hey, have you noticed that his roles as a child actor were mainly comedic, and now he is an adult his roles are mainly serious? I mean, Little Children, Watchmen, Elm Street? Heavy stuff man. Still, it seems that fedoras rule throughout!
I´m not preaching. I don´t believe in a God. "Church" of $cientology is against freedom of speech and that´s what I don´t like. It´s a mind control business.
P.S. but it does really piss me off when christians say they follow a book that clearly says not to judge anyone when that's all they do all in the name of "god". Idk, that's just how I feel about it and I am not sorry, lol.
OK, you assume things automatically......that does not sound good at all.Hey, I´m not talking about religion since $cientology is not a religion, It´s a lucrative pseudo-science/business. I only want to see the real Tom. $cientology messes up peoples minds. I hope the best for him and I hope will come back to the real world.
P.S sorry I pre-blocked you, I really don't care about what else you may have to say, I'll automaticly assume it's nothing but close-minded rambling...
lol must be all that damn uncensored Chef Ramsay, all I am just speaking my free mind... idk but it's my opinion and this is america, it's the only thing we are free to have these days, enjoy it :-))))

BTW Jackie really likes his fedoras! 2:16 lol "Watchmen" this and soon Freddy Krueger!
SpiderFan23 2 years ago 5
@SpiderFan23 Do you think he puts that into his contract? "Must wear a fedora at some point." I never saw that, thak you for pointing it out!
Karine15 1 year ago 3
yeah lol seems like a pattern or something, i wouldn't be surprised if that's why he took the freddy role: "oooh, he's got a fedora, i'm in!"
