PSO 2 has a facebook page, it's not 100% English but they do reply in English from time to time. Just show your love for the game, at least at the end of the day you know you did something.

man fuck this game. when i first heard about it, I was hyped up. But now there's this much better MMO than this one. It's called T.E.R.A Online and will release next year. If i were you guys I'd check those vids out and reconsider purchasing PSO2. Just saying cus you guys pretty much live under a rock to find quality games.

@Tkthegreat14 It's not sad actually. I was a true fan that followed SEGA when it came to MMOs because I personally thought they were the BEST. All other games they make are still the best in my opinion. But you gotta admit that PSO is somewhat a downgrade nowdays (even if it's on alpha testing) and other MMOs out there are far ahead of SEGA. I am talking about quality games, more about gameplay, not by looks, just so you know. If it offended you in any way I apologize.

@TheSoulOfADream What? Are you seeing what your reading right now? PSO 2's game play is sick. You can charge your melee attack, use photon arts, make up your own combo's. Block, counter, roll, dodge, for a force, a form of teleportation. Even charger your techs. Jump of course which creates more combo's. There is even a sort of charge like attack where after you knock back a creature you can push forward and continue to combo it up. Have you heard about that?

@TheSoulOfADream Oh and of course you can knock a creature up in the air, to combo some more. Do ya research, there's info out there. And the char creation, have you not seen it? It's one of the best out there, you can morph just about any part of your char's body. It'll only get better, plus MAGS are back in it. Not much info their but the picture they showed us makes it clear that it will float above the shoulder. 10 years, no way they are messing this game up.

Yeah not enough to call it an MMO. An MMO has to be open world, in short a lag fest. Unless your computer's fast enough and the game is not shit.

I think it looks awesome. Phantasy Star online/zero/portable has always been similar to Monster Hunter in many ways, and it looks like the developers of PSO2 have taken some hints from those games. I will be severely disappointed if there isn't a good MAG system, though; the Universe version sucked.

The more I see from this game, the more disappointing it looks. I think it's the art direction and the focus on ALL THE ACTION HOLY FUCK YOU CAN JUMP kind of crap. The old PSO was more laid back, and dare I say, realistic? I liked that. It also seemed to have a much darker atmosphere than this bright and shiny red armour and cartooony bollocks.

PSO is one of the most underrated classics I know of.

I know it's got plenty of recognition from the Japanese crowd but it is nowhere near as famous as it should be in the western world. It deserves to be up there with the likes of Morrowind, Baldur's Gate, KOTOR, etc, etc...

Didn't matter if you liked JRPGs or not, PSO was an amazing game.

I'm really hoping they go back to the routes of what made the original so good.

@AtomicBonzaiTree The "you need to hit a target to get experience from it when it dies" kinda fucked up the multiplayer experience bigtime, atleast for me. That way you had to hit every single mob on the hole field once instead of being focused on truly enjoying the game and doing as you wish (nuke down 1 mob, a group of mobs etc). I really hope they've implented a new party experience system, so u get the exp aslong as ur in the party or something like that.

Well, what made PSO so special for me was in big part the atmosphere. In lots of ways it was quite dark. The stories touched on some pretty grown-up stuff. The character design was badass. The music was fucking excellent. Even the animation had a legit martial art feel to them.

PSU turned all of that into a generic Final Fantasy clone aimed at kids 10 and up.

So in that sense, PSO2 looks very similar to PSO... But I guess you're talking about gameplay, right?

I don't get the information I want from this video: is it going to be a free-roam platform where you have a big world map, or is it like PSO 1 & 2 where you have set levels? Because with set levels, it will just get boring after about 3 plays. That was the MAJOR flaw in the first PSO game.

I've been a fan of phantasy start series since master system's phantasy star 1.

Played PS1/2/3/4 and enjoyed PSOv1 and ep 1&2 for Dreamcast and Gamecube.

However, with PSU release, the series went to shit. Sega in general is a shit company now, at least when it comes to any support for anything outside Japan.

We might get PSO2 6 or 9 months after japan gets its release but even then it will probably be total shit as with PSU.
