Why Choose LaGuardia Community College

Yea it's also a good place to wait from 9:00 am to 5:00pm. Just to figure out what happened to lost transcripts that were mailed to the school! That they lost! I was there in 94 and it was horrible back then, Decided to go back to school (2011). What a bad idea it was to even think this school could have gotten better. The faculty has no idea of what they are doing. There's no organization at all. Queens college is much better! The long bus ride is worth not having to deal with knuckleheads.

I've been in LaGuardia for 1 year, it's not the best school but it's okay. There are a lot of great professors, especially in the Honors department. Though most students are ghetto and lack a lot of education, you will always find the educated ones in the Honors Curriculum.

@favm360 I graduated from LaGuardia in 1993 and it gave me the foundation I needed. I'm now working toward a second master's degree. The "ghetto" students are there because of financial aid, but there are many serious students. Just stay focused on your classes!

To be admitted at la guardia the only criteria that you have to fulfill is to be conscious and breathing...Horrible school

So you believe a school that makes it difficult to get be admitted equals a better school? They keep a door open for those who have little to no education(not everyone has an equal start in life). Smart people don't always have the funds to get into that ivy league school and scholarships aren't guaranteed. I wonder if you have ever struggled in life, if you have then you'd know that its nice to get a break sometimes.

La Guardia is an insult to intelligence and at best it can be called a ''cool hangout'' rather than a college.

i actually want to apply for fall next yr or 2011... btw i am an international student and i was recommended by my friend's mom 2 go so i will jus do that ... no other colleges right now i just hope i get accepted

LaGuardia Community College in Long Island City, NY, is a terrific school. Students get a good educational foundation.
