actually a lot of the high performance STi's use the 2.0 liter. The STi that set the Nurburgring record had a 2.0 liter in it, and many of the guys who drive Subaru's in various rally events around the world use the 2.0.

Yes it does make that much, because as this guy just said, it makes the power at low rpm, so it would make sense to make 450hp and 600 lb/ft of torque. If it made this power at high rpm, then yest it would be about 400 lb/ft.

Just search for 1200hp SUBARU ESX built by some guy called Ali in California. They routinely get over 500hp out of these engines.

No its not an Sti its a wrx... the only difference between the wrx and the sti is the turbo system and suspension but since they were doing the turbo system and suspension anyways why spend the extra cash on an sti.. they used an STI intercooler though because its honestly the best top mount on the market :D there you go now you all know

The STi has an electronic cneter differential and if you use an aftermarket controller some of them have the ability to "disconnect" the rear drive when the hand brake is pulled.

Second of all the STi's MAX transferable using the Active center differential is 90% 10% (IIRC), but it is still AWD always. You more than likely set it up for most of the power to the rear wheels and the drums on the dyno are heavy and the car prob didnt have enough power to move the drum so you were actually destroying your drivetrain in a car you dont actually have. w.w.w.n.a.s.i.o.c.c.o.m remove the dots.
