I wish the new Muslim, Jewish and Christian generations to be guided by Science and research and leave all fairy tale religious believes.

  • You are right, but you can find it more in Morocco than Algeria. That's a fact.

  • ¿No ha grabado esto Eduardo Paniagua en música árabe-andalusí? ¿Años 70-80?

  • Salaam! Shalom! Peace! Allah/God is one! May all of His children become one in love and peace.

  • Peace mean not provocation .

If you are proud to be an andalousi jew you have to respect the peoples who shared with you their music and culture . Not to robbe even that .

  • Jews were slaves during the andalousi islamic spain .

I wonder how a slave could play such music ? you robbed our heritage and music ! the proove is that jogbloster don't make arab or islamic in his tags he just put israel and jewish names .

You peoples do not want peace !

  • I really don't understand people. I was born in Toledo where for a lot of centuries Jews, Arabs and Christians live together (The three cultures as we call it). I am very proud of that heritage. Of course there is a great link between their music so stop saying nonsense. Music should be an instrument to join people. Stop bitching one another!!

  • aliahnahar if you are a jew and feel so proud to be from toledo as you said ! how you can let peoples say that this music belong to jews and not to muslims ?

by the why you aren't jewish .

  • Aikzman,

Who told you I am a Jew? I am not. Please, read well what I have written down cos you got it all wrong. Fortunately, I am not such a narrow minded person to know that in Castilla and Andalusia, the three cultures and religions cohabited for long time and that meant of course a great deal of links between ´em. That included music.

  • I am very proud, as I pointed out, to have that amazing heritage that includes arabs, jews and cristians, and of course I would never forget the legacy they left us and that today is part of my life.

Maybe this is the first lesson of tolerance we should learn.

By the way, who told you jews were slaves in andalusi spain? Do you know about Umayyes or Alfonso X el sabio?

Please READ MORE ABOUT HISTORY. YOU NEED IT!

  • jews , artistical ? I think this music is from ANDALOUZ ... and there are just 4countries who make andalous music... Portugal , Spain , Morocco and Algeria

  • Awesome!

I wish I was jewish, they are so artistic!

  • No do not have to be jewish to be artistic.

    Just be who you are!!!!

  • beautifull i loved it remind me when i was a kid god bless moroccans muslims and jews and christains god bless peace

  • this is morocan andlaus music,,i hear it many times by Abdelkrim Rais

  • what ottomans have to do here??????

  • This is Andalusian classical music which is a blend of Jewish, Arab, berber, spanish and also Ottoman cultures. This Music was subject to so many influences in so many years, to become as we know it today. Now, no matter what the influence is ,this music is divided into three major schools or genres. The Morrocan style which follows the school of Grenada, the Algerian Style follows the school of Cordova and the Tunisian Style follows the school of Sevilla.

  • Fenec et Sokita, should I remember you that andalus music is originally from Andalus, after Inquisation in end of XIV entury by Isabel, all the non chritian leave there home with only there music, and established in Maghreb in Morocco is Andalous music except in Oujda is Gharnati, Algiers and Tunisia is Malouf.

Anyway all those pepole immigrate to Maghreb, Egypt, Palestine some of them to europe.

You can learn more about in Les Juifs, Le monde et l'argent of Jacqus Attali in French.

  • exactly pls say it to some idiots there

  • dude , that's moroccan , why are you lying , you have rai , we have andalus , chaabi and gnaoua.

    Tvoee 3la bnedem !

  • malik m3ssaba lol hada dialna mais c andalous aussi et landalou juif and arab c presq les meme ,com la music fesi et rabati

  • You all dispute what music this is? Tell me then, Einsteins: Who is the man they are playing for? DDDUUUUHHHHHH.....idiots. This is Moraccan music performed by the Israeli Andaluse Orchestra for guess who? Quit typing opinions prior to knowing what you are talking about. UGH...retards annoy me.

    -Jackie

  • i'm sorry to say this but this music comes from east of algeria not morocco is called malouf and there is 16 noubas and best singers in this music raymond ,fergani, afrit

  • Algeria? You are an idiot. Love my fellow Jews, sweetie, but get real. This is as Moraccan as skirts are to women. By far, one of the most uneducated and naive remarks I have seen on this site to date. BIZARRE that you would even say that. At least give the Israeli Andalusit Orchestra credit for playing Moraccan music. My gal pals and I did get a chuckle out of this comment though. Great fun!-Jackie
