  • YOU HAVE TO GO TO THE INNER-CORE PROGRAM

  • ...aaaaand skynet is online.

  • apparently ethics don't apply

  • They that can give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.

  • i dont see how this is good for society..this is BAD

  • fucking old man is the average 4chan dude in 40 years

  • Moral of the story, "Stick to Dolphins."

  • So then it looks like the old pantyhose over the face trick is still the best bet for bank robbers

  • Where's R2D2

  • he says fuck a5 6:15

  • @padman1234 I think he said flash

  • @pstuddy nah mate he said fuck

  • @padman1234 HAHAAHHAA

  • all though this video says this is how the future will be, i still have my hopes low. since they brock my heart when the also said we will be living on the money in the year 2000

  • I wish I'll live to see something like this one day.

  • I really wonder if this will happen in 50 years of more like 500 years because that's what it looks more like!

  • So the future is a technological dictatorship. No privacy,no choice no freedom.Only control and alienation.I guess Orwell,Huxley and Bradbury weren't writing fiction.

  • @WalterWolf000 You have made enormous leaps in logic with that statement. Who says that you wont have privacy in your own home? And who the hell says you won't have free choice? And what's this about control?

  • This is really intrusive, why would anyone want this?

  • the future looks bright bt the power the government will have over us will be so strong, and so we should be sure to prevent the government having too much hold over us just in case they turn into evil leaders whom don't care about the ppl, we can already see that in some corruption which is seeable in politics even today, if they have full power over us the corruption will be huge, so we the ppl must hold a balance of levelling or there is the room for consequences i hope not bt its seeable :(

  • Dolphins are for the most part rapists and pedophiles. Just putting that out there.

  • What heros pointing weapons at an unarmed old man and a boy. Stupidity still reigns free in the future.

  • yes in 2057 my age is 60.... yes im still alive....

  • If I were his mom, I would have smacked the shit out of him and grounded him til his done with high school. and lol the dude with the mustache looks like Lando from Star Wars XD

  • dont the cameras see the cop lady letting the 13 year old hacker and the gramps get away? i mean they should still be working if the cops are using that other stuff at their precinct

  • why would an operating place that was shut down 50 years ago still have a working electricity supply??? this story makes ABSOLUTELY no sense!!!!

  • 7:40 "Paul edward Gator.. Get over here. Let me hug it all better after you just made yourself a city terrorist who almost wiped out the power, water and networking for the entire city...." omfg...

  • 4:35

The girl in the background is probably like

    "WHATTTT?!"

  • the acting reminds me of the videos they make us watch in school

  • That was like an episode of the Outer Limits.

  • What about the cure for aids or something good like sex androids this is all stupid dont give me some logic bull shit reply im gunna go listen to some LOG now

  • some of this is nice but the story line is better if focused on what we want, not what the government class wants for themselves. I am up for better parties, better learning, better thinking, better distribution of beauty and benefits. World peace is normal for those that have already gone from self anger to self love and peace...The future of bliss is becoming more and more inevitable all the time.

  • all very interesting realistic technology, excellently explained by kaku, but the need to put it into such an unrealistic lil show with the terrible acting? meh...

locking up the city's database unsecured while it could shut off the whole city's power supply? i dont think so...

  • i hate the way the Japanese guy talks. He sound like he's about to sell me something

  • ^^The New World Order Public Relations^^

  • Such Gooood acting.

  • lol

  • Can you say Demolition Man?? "We're police officers!! We're not trained for this!!!" I'm gonna find a nice, cameraless place out on the lake...fuck the nanny state!!

  • just realized: gramps is wearing a yankees hat x] bet baseball will be played by robots or something

  • It has been really interesting reading all your comments. But there are many other pressing issues that need to be sorted out in the World prior to any big advancements in technology. the development of 100% sustainable energy for transport, industry, and domestic uses. To produce food for everyone on the planet, and changes to the economic system and governing system and not the rediculous World Government idea.

  • The information in these videos are great, but the acting is worse then a B movie.

  • @philsense it a fucking documentary it has to give information in a creative way not be entertaining

  • wtf is with the story about the family

and what about ice cream huh will it be aoround?

  • Hmm yeah, and where's my joint?

  • rr the City

  • not to be negative or anything but now guess what ... what happens if the government goes corrupt?? .... citizens can't do anything bout it .... government can control what you do ... nothing would be private no more, they keep an eye for those who oppose the government and might even cut off their basic needs ... dontt trust computers if it is going to make you depend everything on it

  • I was thinking the same thing, but then as I thought about it, it seems more likely that technology to evade the government and increase the average person's power will also be prevelant. Idk, I think it will be hard to predict either way...

  • @zoids956 If enough people go against it, those things won't do any good. Mod mentality has a way of catching on.

  • some kind of elite virus cop squad thing? Geek Squad on steriods? Awesome?

  • Dramatized American crap!

  • yep

  • well i think that ths our future and is only 40 or 50 years away as technology is sort of multiplier for eg the was not much a difference betweeen 4000 bc and 1000bc but if we see last 200-300 years our world has completely changed

  • why u so negative do u wanna die or something

  • no its just with all this crap today and come on ww3 its real and some day its hear . but hey idk it could be good it could be bad

  • I like the way they shut down the facility by simply locking the door and walking away, leaving everything intact and connected.

  • In 2057 people still use p90s.

  • @MontyPython134 i dont hope so

  • i hope we dont have war in the future

  • Quick! Do a hard reboot of the city! lol

  • i wonder in 2057 will the media still keep us limited ,and scare us with other nations who are not actually bad people , they are just different ,will it still exist

    plz reply

  • hopefully they will some of us p'noids need the entertainment man.. your so selfish :P

  • 2057!!! where television is still showing dramatized american crap with the same old plots like this one!!!!

  • I predict that people will be watching reruns of Gilligan's Island and Star Trek for centuries.

  • josezamm go finish your homework kid

  • i personally dont think this will happen

im a 13 year old boy but i still know that in the 60s people thought that in 2001 things would be like this and look were in 2009 and i dont see anything really futuristic except for microsoft surface iphone and lg's new watch phone which arent even so futuristic its just multitouch

  • well newest version of asimo is pretty good and futuristic but no one really have robots in home yet except just some toy robots. there's also some robot cars what can drive almost anywhere without driver or controlling

  • What you haven't took into account is the rate at which technology is developing :D

  • say to someone from the 60s they wont think it so normal

  • what a cheesy ending!!!

  • LOL pure cheddar right there

  • does this mean that we won't be able to watch movies that are old anymore? and does this mean all are great music from the past will be gone?

  • "Computer starts with a conventional headshot" HHAHA

  • the old man is so illogical. he should have went to the police station with his grandson, explain what has happened, then inform them that he can correct the error.

  • It something like that city becomes reality. If someone had a device very similar the goldeneye it would be the ultimate weapon. EMP or electromagnetic pulse a non lethal surhe of radiation which causes havoc with anything electronic eventully shutting it down or destroying it. if the EMP pulse it is a static or slowly changing magnetic field there is no defense against it.

  • Or charge Paul with a crime as others seem to be suggesting or hinting at.

  • I think Paul woke up the city and the world to the vulnerabilities of the system. I wouldn't get mad at him as some have suggested.

  • It something like that city becomes reality. If someone had a something very similar the goldeneye it would be the ultimate weapon. EMP if it is a static or slowly changing magnetic field destroys everything on electronic circuit and there is no defense against it.

  • 5:48 i see lando

  • It's 2057 and people still uses glasses, why?

  • Lol, good point.

  • what an ugly city, I bet that 50% won't come true. In the sixties scientists said that the technology in 2001: a space odyssey (sci-fi film) would be entirely true in 2001. How many of you have been in space?

  • dont compare the 60s with now. We have advanced a lot faster than our pats generations, mainly because of the amount of information being passed around through the internet. Just think about how much different life was 5 years ago.

  • 5 years ago, 5 years ago... 2003-2004. Music on cds then, now on ipods. Movies were watched on tapes, now they're on dvds & the internet. Photos viewed in albums then, now on PCs. More cells, less landlines & payphones. Research done on wikipedia instead of google. Facebook. Doesn't seem that different from today (except for Facebook)- it's only that now, everything so much flashier.

  • computer technology doubles every 18 months. the 60s werent like that at all, many scientists/futurists all agree that our technology is advancing faster than anytime before. Youre missing the point its not just flashier. Tapes? they were huge and had low quality, everything is becoming much easier on us. They look flashier but the technology is much more different than before. 5 years ago i would not believe the ipod touch/phone, or sony OLED screens.

  • lol a gamebody has more computer power than teh computers of the 60s incredible lol

  • r u so stupid how can u compare 60s tecnology to 2009 tecnology

  • come here!!! OMFG if i was the mom i would beat the hell out of that kid. how the hell does he get off so easily?? and gramps too?!! this is a bunch of bullshit. i mean i guess in the future, holding ransom the whole fucking city even for a minute does not make u eligible for explosion.

  • I think that's pretty pesimistic and negative.

  • @Striden12 you said it pal........we are gonna die!

  • @Striden12 he is right though.

  • look some people like there life if u dont doesnt mean u should put negative comments on

  • good ole american bullshit.

it'll be alright in the end.

    the hero saves the day.

    what a crock of shit

  • Well we've never lost at anything as a country.

  • er... sureee

mr sun shines out of america's ass

  • George Orwell's 1984

this how people want to live?

    SAY NO2ID

  • no.. i wont argue agianst this.. your right

  • I love it!!

  • I don't like the future; people are alienating themselves from nature with all this bullshit technology. It's important, but to a certain degree. You must not be dependent. There must be a balance. Confiscate your cellular phone; most people will go nuts. If thats just a stupid phone, then what will happen in the future were everything is "wired"? If you reeeeaaaly think about it it's kind of scary what we might be heading into.

  • Wtf Imonthetube

You're using technology when you wrote that bullshit of a message. I suppose living in cave is better than living in a nice clean house full of high tech gadgets making daily life easier. And why do you focus on cellphones for your reasoning that technology is bad. I think the scariest thing would be going back to living without technolgy when vaccines didn't exist or refrigirators didn't let food go to waste. Saying technolgy sucks is unbelievably ignorant.

  • Hey technology is important. BUT... I think there needs to be a limit. I don't think that having a "wired house" is necessary. I think people should start using their minds and expanding on what the brain and body is really capable off, rather than checking their stupid black berries every 5 seconds for some bullshit message from facebook or even from the company. I think people miss the point on what everything really is about and get tied up in technology and further themselves away from

  • who they are and what they can do. No, technology is needed; but even a pig can't eat too much. For the record, the cavemen from the "cave" times or even ancient times (ex. egypt)weren't so stupid and primitive as we might think. Anyways my point is that technology is useful but there must be a balance, so if in fact someone does pull the plug, the world won't go crazy.

  • Perhaps, BUT if the plug is pulled imagine centuries of accomplishement gone down the drain. The key to survival in the universe is to expand human civilization beyond planet earth. Having a wired society is almost essential because it facilitates science and developement. Yes it's true that when the apollo landing took place they didn't have blackberries or cellphones but going to the moon was really the limit they could do. The only thing stopping us from going to mars is politics.

  • i guess what he means is that we should discard of current technology ie books while we expand our knowledge and technological progress.watch the Stream of Consciousness episode of the outer limits

  • @Striden12 Your one of the most intelligent person I met, I'm a big fan of tech and michio kaku. I'm dreaming of becoming a scientist to advance technologies. I'm very glad you uploaded these awesome videos, I love the future.

    p.s. I'm 14

  • @Striden12 i would LOVE this future :D

  • You're so narrow minded.

  • @ImOnTheTube You do have some point, But the question is do you want to advance or go back. If we advance we can learn more and more of the our universe. We might be able to know everything. We Can keep all genetics in a database, and can recreate any animal. We can modify genetics, insert chips in brains. nanobots in you body. If you deny science, go to religion.

But with technonlogy it might be possible to control all weather and control the universe. or should I say it is.

  • @ImOnTheTube Whats a cell phone? Im 15 and i never needed one. Have plenty of RL friends so shut up about alienation to nature

  • fuck all that bullshit about the mark of the beast 666, they have all these computers to keep track of us.

  • Apparently body armor isn't a priority in 2057. Legit laughing at the Star Wars inspired leggings.

  • In a city so reliant on power to run it's self, even if it went down for 10 seconds there could be serious damage done. AND THEY JUST ACT LIKE NOTHING HAPPENED. Moronic.

  • i agree this 2057 is crap, well atleast their predictions are anyway.

  • the crystal skulls found in those ancient mayan ruins!! they may have some information in them or maybe I have too much imagination lol.

  • I think you watched indiana jones 4 and applied it to real life lol.

  • so that's it?! this kid gets off with no punishment??? the mother berates her father and only adornes her kid with affection when her kid almost SNAFU-ed the entire city and almost lost her her job??? WHAAAT....ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!?!? she's an absolute terrible terrible mother. the grandfater is way cool. and the boy, well, they needed to open up a can of whup ass on him!

  • LOL I agree with you

  • Paul was just a kid. He had no idea what would happen a result of his actions. So he should be punished for being curious and wanting to explore as all kids his age should do. what a horrible thought! According to you he should be punished and charged with a crime for doing what any kid his age would do. That's something i pray never comes to pass what a horrible day that would be.

  • those cubes r gay

  • didnt they have those cubes in star wars?

  • Billions of dollars of the city's revenue is lost, and the kid who did it gets a hug!? Not even in 100 years would that happen let alone 50...

  • he was just a kid who had no idea what the consequences of his actions would be and was curious and creative like any kid his age should be.He didn't do what he did with malicious intent. Are you saying he should be charged with a crime and put in in jail? Sounds awfully heartless and dictatorial.

  • "Are you saying he should be charged with a crime and put in in jail?"

    I don't know. Yea, I suppose so.

  • This is a neat little plot.

  • what if,when your being scaned, you blow up,or suck in your cheeks a little? Then your off the grid, sorta.

  • hahaha, funny

  • why the fk does this show have a plot? i hate the discovery channel.

  • seems unrealistic that there will not exist CD/DVD to future data storage converters :-)

  • Take a look at the newer computers today. Do you see floppy disk to CD/DVD converters? .-.

    ehhh

  • sort of, the converter is a computer.

i'm pretty sure that there will be enough time to put all the data one has on dvd/cd unto the computer and from there into, whatever will be the storage way in the future.

  • What if a person has plastic surgery or develops scars from an injury on the face? Would that affect how the cameras would detect a person?

  • Then they would have to take a re-scan test.

  • Maybe they take a new image of you every year

Or the have some expiration date on ur identification so you have to go renew it

  • yeah thats what i was thinking

  • I'd be happy to trade some of my "personal integrity" for a safer and more comfortable world.

The cameras mean nothing. We've all been monitored for the last 50 years or so since the social security number came into existence anyway. Everytime you withdraw money from a cash machine or buy something on the internet or use your card to buy something in a store you can be traced and identified, even if you pay with bills you can be traced through the serial numbers.

  • That's true i suppose.

There's a limit though if they were to tap into phone conversations and hack into my computer just for security reasons i'd be completely against it.

  • Yeah, I suppose I'd draw the limit there myself.

However, I think for them to spy on you they'd need damn good reasons. I find it hard to believe that the government would spend money to actively spy on average peoples phones and computers.

Or maybe I'm just gullible. :)

  • Very entertaining series... but am I the only one that thinks this is just a bit too ambitious? I remember watching science series on tv in the late 80's predicting what life would be like in the year 2000. Man were they off! Just curious what everybody else thinks? 5*s btw.

  • Yes but those predictions were based on nothing.

  • this is a good point. in 1957 I bet they thought 2007 would be an advanced world. think about the future that never happened-- no jet packs, robot maids, flying cars, driverless cars, no hovercrafts, the whole 9 yards we were promised...the only real advances have been in information tech.

I don't doubt we have the potential for these, its just those fn special interest jerks that want to stop progress so they can keep getting rich off their outdated crap & not lose their power.

  • Yeah right, "release him, he's not our guy". All 3 of them would be in terrorist prison cells being tortured for life.

  • Well...that certainly is a pessimistic view of the future.

  • its not the view of the future, its just how the hell can they get away with just a fucking hug and shit?? what the hell. the city was in fucking shambles b/c of this!!!

  • I say privacy is important, and am afraid I won't get any in the future :S

  • in 2057 there will be an new generation of amish they will live like its the year 2000.

  • Can't wait for 2057!!! WOOT!

  • What is with you people being afraid of the future. You might as well become an amish if you think technology sucks.

  • not afraid of the future. just afraid of facists assholes. otherwise, I'm pretty much in love with any new tech.

  • Technology is cool- people that use it for total control and domination of others isn't

  • "fugitives will have no place to hide" neither will anyone else apparently. i'm moving to the woods.

  • yo....he would been dead or in jail and he didnt do sh!t....the future is messed up

  • the future looks like one super size jail.

  • the future sucks.
