  • @Polly42536 - I haven't ever heard of this.

Genesis 6:2 - "that the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves, whomever they chose."

The Hebrew for "sons" is the word "Bene" and the Hebrew for "God" is "Elohim." God is called Elohim here and the angels are His sons. This same word for angels is used in Job 1:6 -"Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them."

  • @Polly42536 - I'd never come across this until just now. They are also called the "Watchers" in the Book of Enoch. The angels who watched man. I firmly believe though, that man was created by God and the Nephilim are the hybrid offspring of the rebel angels and human women, the seed of the serpent.

But I will check into this though. It's a new one for me. Thanks! :)

  • @KarensFaith Polly's version sounds like Mormon doctorine to me.

  • @jmolynn2 - Ah, I see. I didn't know that. I still think Elohim is God and not anything else. I have been looking into it though and there are those who think they are a separate creation from the angels and us. But I haven't found this in Scripture so I still believe Elohim is God and God alone. I will have to check into the Mormon teachings on this so I will be better equipped for this next time. Thank you for letting me know that. I REALLY appreciate that. :) God bless!

  • whats the background picture on 6:54 ?

  • Nephilim were half man half angel. they were giants, even the Israelites likened some of the inhabitants of Canaan as Nephilim (had a large stature)i'd say around 9-12 feet tall and superior in intelect, senses, strength, and teaching.. after all their fathers were angels so their knowlege was superior.

They were meant to rule mankind and to oppress and incite to evil, a permanent physical presence, whereas the angels may have had heavenly duties or other priorities in the vast spirit realm.

  • @realistromeo well Goliath was a giant and he was 13 feet tall according to scripture. This isnt bibically correct in any form, so i dont know what the pont i in even debating or anything. There is no prophecy. Jesus Christ is the only redeemer,

  • I must credit you on your research, although by opinion I must disagree about the nature of the nephilim as being evil. I am not here to write about that at any rate so for what it's worth congratulations once again on the research. AA
