  • is this from the Tagou Shaolin Kung fu School near Dengfeng? i'm thinking of going there at the end of this year for a year. it'd be cool to hear of anyones experiences who've already gone to train there. if you've been, hit me up!

  • amazing students...

  • haha! I remember doing this!

  • always wanted to just pack up and go there for a few months and learn what they do

  • Is that guy stuck on the trailer hitch?

  • QuanFa 4 EVER!!!

    ok.

  • kung fu is good but i hate the flips and weapon training LOL. Its not like whne ur in a fight and u use the flips or weapons rite?. Im asian too living in SG,and here weapon possesion or anything is prohiited. So learning kung fu with flips and weapons is just a waste of precious time. Might as well jsut learn the hand to hand combat rite? Like sanda or wing chun, dat will really help u out there . Beteer dan doing flips and get killed lol

  • @MechPhantom Well, that makes sense in it's own way, but the training does add up in my opinion. The philosophy is the training you do with and without weapons and flips add up in your physical condition when you perform in kung fu. if you can flip, you mix in aspects of flexibility, coordination, power in the legs, and balance. Also I'm saying this because my staff is like a best friend to me. Bruce Lee was a ChaCha dancing champion and mixed that into Jeet Kune Do.

  • @gamrage thats what u think but for me yup weapons and acrobatics trainnig are just a waste of time. I rather trian deadly techniques for 10 yrs than training weapons, flips. After all different ppl hv different opinions.Thats urs and this is mine .I think still the best is without weapons and silly flips =),udont see bruce lee doing flips in a fight Thx see u.

  • You have the whole concept backwards... This is wushu, it is a demo ART, Martial ART. If you want to see how they FIGHT then look up Sanda/Sanshou. These people at wushu schools in China cross train wushu which is amazing for creating flexible, atheletic, super strong people. And Sanda Kung fu, which is a martial art system created by the Chinese government in the 80s, mixing all of the best most straight forward fighting styles of china, to create a hybrid kung fu style for FIGHTING.Cool stuff

  • @GuamKomudo cool but i jsut prefer to just strictly train sanda/sanshou ONLY coz it helps more and save time rather than wasting it by training stuff u wont use . Thx for the info man =) too wushu is great for fitness but never for fighting. see you man tx again

  • It depends on your goal. Wushu is more than dancing around, not only does it get you in great shape, but it's an art form. Wushu is for performance, it's not for fighting. They are not wasting their time, they are doing what they like to do. They like to perform wushu and they like to get better at their skill and dedicate their lives to perfecting technique of this art form. It would be like saying"Football is BETTER than painting"they are two very different things, cannot compare them that way

  • @GuamKomudo haha yea !! awesome explaination man ! yea there not wasting their time ,if thats the only thing that they love , then yea go for it. Its passion like for me i have passion for fighting , sanda etc. U rock man see you =)

  • XD long stance we love u :3 ma bo... u can be annoying >_>

  • Darn, so jealous of these young martial artists flexibility!

My own have long since left me :(

  • What's the name of this school? I think I was near by you, in Xiao Long Wu Yuan.

  • AHHHHH i have to stop watching these training videos i had to stop kung fu myself for money reasons but should be going back soon

  • These kind of drills are for leg strength and hip mobility etc most schools teach sanda(sort of chinese kickboxing, more practical) at the same time as traditional stuff so most of these kids will growe up and be pretty impressive fighters anyway!

  • GoodUSA - this video just shows students training. It's not practical to employ this in fighting unless you've learned properly from a master.

  • I think you never ever have trained kung fu, all the applications come straight away from the forms.

  • Not true. Forms contain techniques but do not teach you how to practically apply them. If you think you can learn from these videos without a proper instructor then you are likely to get yourself beat up. It's called false confidence.

  • No, I never said you can learn from videos or books. I always told other people you cannot learn from a book or video, you do need some one who will correct you when your doing something wrong.

Forms are important, just like in Wing Chung, everytime when you learn a new part from the form you'll also learn and practice the application behind it. Atleast thats how my master teaches that.

  • if you study enough you'll know your doing something wrong, you have too look at your self as if you doing every thing wrong

  • this bs don't work in real fight.

  • have you tried it?

  • yap, and it don't work ,it is only good for wasting energy and show off , movies,

  • Well, I don't know what kind of people you fight, but this works.

What kind of no weapon fighting do you recommend?

  • yeah well if your a dumb motherfucking gunslinging dirty harry american fuck, no hand to hand combat works, ask the viatamese, iraquis , afganis, nicuraguans, salvodoreans the list goes on my dumbmother fucking american friend

  • hey fuck you russian retard,

  • akbowlshit, kiss american ass

  • i Just love it how you annd your friend "familyfilms4" have no better come back than "hey fuck you russian retard" and "akbowlshit, kiss american ass" both you guys do not know shit and should crawl up inside a fucking wallmart and stay in there untill you die. Shaolin kungfu is one of the oldest and most practised traditions of martial arts, can you name me a hand to hand combat that america had invented? no . so fuck you !

  • not all Americans feel this way. Kajukenbo and Ed Parker's Kenpo was created in America, their roots are of course from China and Japan..I study Shaolin Kung Fu and don't care for "gun slinging" America, Russia and New Zealand are countries of individuals. Many people from many countries now study Chinese Martial arts, I teach it New York.如果你不相信你可以来到美国看我的学生。。不要骂别人好吗?

  • many of us "Americans" believe in Hand to hand combat. I have studied Shaolin Chuan Fa from 1984-2006.如果你不相信你可以来到美国看我的学生,请你不要骂别人好吗?

  • I know quite a few Americans who believe in hand to hand combat. I myself am one of them. I have studied Xing Yi Chuan, Ba Fa Shou, Qi Gong, Tai Chi Chuan, Pa Kua, Wing Chun and Tong Bi.

  • @dancingthru great job i wish i had those opportunnities but i dont really have a car and im so broke my family is behind rent like 7000

  • I can attest to the fact that it does.

  • nice ;O I train that shit too, but in sweden ;)
