Its an African word that was brought to Brazil by Angolan slaves along time ago. Same thing Capoeira, it was also brought to Brazil by Angolan slaves. Anyway I think Ginga means to free the body, I'm Malawian and where I come from Ginga means Bicycle, but I think in Brazil and much of Portuguese speaking Africa, it means free movement or something like that. But I'm sure I saw the meaning on the other Ginga videos on Youtube go check them out.
