MOST movie scenes are boring -- without underscore (music). This scene would have been perfectly fine in the film, because it would have been scored with music that (a) set the tone of the scene and (b) moved it along, completely negating the "boring" quality you feel by watching it "bare."

its important to know where Jamal lives now, without Salim or Latika. Maybe it just seemed to boring. I know i got bored watcing it. it could have looked more important with the whole movie!! Check out the other deleted scene with The Tulip Star!! Its AWESOME!!
