"but since AWD swap I could keep up with him up to 160mph. After that thought, it was a case of goodby mister bond XD"
As in before the AWD swap you /couldn't/ keep up with him to 160mph.. when the AWD would do the oposite.
WIth FWD he would rape you to about 80/90 mph, and then you would have him run down by 130.. assuming his car has the same power as yours (and being much heavier)
I said the 9bs would EFFICIENT run max 12 psi of boost. I've ran em up to 25 psi by bypassing the factory WG controller and forcing the WG to open on pressure alone. But at that rpm they aren't doing anything but blowing hot air. The most efficient psi those turbos are capable of boosting at is 12 psi. Its possible to go higher but its pointless and you risk damaging the turbochargers.
@coupe3kgt Then lets play ;_) Extrem weight reducement (about 1600lbs) Stage 4 Rotrex Supercharged on a stroked K26 block (about 480bhp) Gone AWD about a year ago. Bestet several Spupersportcars since then :D
And btw: I have a friend with a fully moded 3000GT VR4. Car is fast as hell. Definately not to be triffeld with, but since AWD swap I could keep up with him up to 160mph. After that thought, it was a case of goodby mister bond XD
@Helldorado2008 you're dumb as fuck... if you add AWD to a car you would have a slower top speed than before due to weight. the only benefit to AWD is traction off the line.. you're not gonna spin over 80mph with 450hp. (370 at the wheels)
Why are you only running one bar? That car stock runs at 11 psi with the little boost mod. Install a manual boost controller and get all u can off the stock turbos. Which only really amounts to 12 psi. Those 9b's aren't efficient enough to go higher.
not really people have run 14psi with no problems some 18 psi others 22 psi but it will drop down to 12 just can't hold it. STM ran 10s in the 1/4 with 9bs making 370awhp and 472ish torque in a stripped car.
@f44life Yep, first gens were in the low 14s, second gen and later was the high 13s. So many people dog these cars for being heavy, but they fail to realize just how big of an asset that AWD setup is.
