@cavemanfarts The song is Bizarre Beginnings and Essra talks about her days with Frank in the MOI in the April 22nd issue of the Philadelphia Inquirer.
crazy, this has been here for awhile...and first time s/hearing it....thanks for the post....not too many good things on here, but this was a good thing!
No, I didnt play vibes. I sang with the band. Also I sang and played piano as their opener. That means when they did 3 sets a night, I did 6. Plus opening to whoever was playing downstairs at the Go Go (Cream, Procol Harum, Grateful Dead, etc.).
I wish I had been born 20 yrs earlier, so I could've experienced those times! Such originality & freeness! You could still surprise & shock people then. Everybody wasn't as jaded & "seen it all" like they are today! I got to taste a bit of that growing up & coming of age in the late 70's. I didn't get turned on to Frank until the late 80's when I was 25. But I came from the school of P-Funk, Sly Stone, Prince & David Bowie, so Zappa was no stretch by then!

A lovely, though short track. Nice things come in small packages, at it were.
