what are your thoughts on using apathy to become aware? i find myself as a bit of an empath, but feel way closer to things when i dont care. instead of me being concerned about my vibrations, i just let them happen. i feel way closer when i just accept the fact that i am everything, and my identity isnt required for me to find peace. apathy is commonly used as a negative word but from my experience, apathy is a tool that can be used to find ourselves. just wondering what you think.

Amanda i'm also empathic and i'm very sensitive. I think i have some emotional buildup that i need to release. Sometimes i have a hard time controlling my emotions as well as sensing other people emotions. Nice introduction - it's interesting to speculate that if all the people were "cured" of unresolved issues from their past, we'd probably end up losing most of the great artists, whose work thrives on such inner tension.

That is an excellent point!...Loves lost or thwarted, pain, struggles...they all give birth to some of the greatest creations...I write poetry and I know my best poems have come from such tensions. I liked the introd vid above (thanks Amanda) - and doubly liked your response to it...Sunbeam :)

HI Amanda, I was wondering what deck you use?? I love the Robin Wood deck! I had the Aquarian deck but the images are too depressing! LOL Do you have any particular books on Tarot that you would recommend? I have a few and wondering which ones you prefer! Di:)

I mainly use the Osho Zen tarot deck for myself and when reading for others, but I love the more traditional decks and think Robin Wood is awesome (and I agree about the Aquarian deck lol) I also use the Spiral deck because a lot of people images look like family members and friends, the Hudes deck, Intuitive deck, and the Hanson Roberts deck...I really like the books that go with all of these decks, so that's why I tend to use them more than others that are visually neat.

as far as books to learn and explore tarot with I recommend The Smart Girls Guide to tarot (it's sassy and fun for reading in a more main stream light hearted way) Tarot for Yourself, and Tarot Tells the Tale.

Leisa (the girl who owns and runs the site) is very knowledgeable and interviews lots of well known experts...I learn best from listening to people than reading so this has been my biggest resource more so than books....I think you will really like it!

Robin Woods deck is awesome and I also like the Spiral, I always had good readings with that one. I meant to get the Osho and I never did, maybe I should, to fill out my collection at this point.

Great video! A lot of people get freaked out when they hear the word "Tarot", & they REALLY shouldn't! I TOTALLY agree with what you said about the whole "past issues returning until they're dealt with" concept... That is why 12-step groups offer people a new lease on life~& the bottom line IS: such programs offer ANYONE a chance to have a better life~& it's a result of finally dealing with what you said. P.S. Talking to you would be less embarassing for those with excuses! :)
