The town accepted the Hmong and let them live there but Government started to check up and send new comer back to Laos. The government said if any Thai citizen cought helping Hmong will be sent to prison so that's why you see alot of camp site a long side of the road

Actually i was 9 in 1975, carry a gun and fought for 2 1/2 years in the jungle. In 92 when I joined the marine, trained at camp pendleton, Ca, station in Okinawa for 16 months, transfer to NC for 6 months, before being shipped to Saudi 3 months before the war begin.

It's true to some degree that many Miao in that camp came from the woods but many did not; they are economic imigrants based on my first hand information.
