  • wow a kicker commercial

  • Knuconcepts, Cheap, Flexible, And Thick.

  • what if my speaker wire or power wire is bigger that it is recommended?

  • @456japs If it fits on your amp then why not, it is never a bad thing to have thicker power and ground cable.

  • the kicker wire has something in the middle eating up wire space= both wires have teh same amount of cable in them

  • Q power brand cable wire is cheap and no good

  • i use cheap wire on my mtx amp it burnt out i hade to pay 100 bucks to get it fix now i use the good wire now my mtx amp its all right now plus it dont get real hot when i use that cheap wire man my amp got real hot and burnt out

  • Are there any enclosures on your website that would go well with the 15 inch alpine type r?

  • @EmaniAintWhite Our prefabbed 15" Ported Enclosures are limited on supplies, and the only round subwoofer enclosure is roughly 3.13 cubic feet. This is slightly larger than what Alpine recommends for the airspace, so you may want to consider a custom built enclosure. The pre-built enclosure will work OK, but for best results, consider designing a custom box.

  • Rockford, Kicker, JL, and a few other brands of cable/wire meet American Wire Gauge(AWG) standards. Actually, as far as I know, Kicker and JL just started selling car audio power cables some 3 or 4 years ago, although I'm not sure if they used to sell them before I came into the car audio thing about 10 years ago. I know Rockford did it even before then. I always used to see the "AWG" on their speaker and power cables' packaging and wire insulation along with a true strand count of OFC wire.

  • should I get an Re Audio Sex 15 or an Alpine type r 15 and i wanted to go ported

  • @EmaniAintWhite Both of those subwoofers should sound extremely good and have some great bass response. In the right enclosure, the Alpine Type R might be great for your application, especially if it's ported correctly. The SEX15 might be a little more flexible as far as different boxes it can be put into, so if you can't build the perfect enclosure you might wanna go with the SE-X Subwoofer.

  • @EmaniAintWhite had that exact same question for a long time, currently having the sex15 shipped

  • which 15 inch sub is better memphis or soundstream

  • Just letting everyone know, I bought the "Bullz" 4 gauge kit from ebay and its NOWHERE near true to gauge. It would be lucky to be an 8 gauge wire. The insulation is VERY thick making it appear to be 4 gauge, but it is not. Do yourself a favor and get a well known brand like Monster, Kicker, Stinger ect.

  • Buh Buh Buh BASS !

  • Monster cable IMO is over priced. I used it in my setup because I got a ridiculous deal on 30 feet of it..

    anywho... great video though

  • There are so many wires out there that are not true to gauge. A true gauge wire is crucial! The cheap wire is dangerous, I have seen low end cable catch on fire and it is not pretty. Great video, hopefully more people will get true spec wire now so we don't have to deal with the headaches of low end cable!

  • Great video, guys! Good information.

  • okay... but doesn't un-coated copper transfer electricity better than that kicker tin coated wire?

Sure, it is thicker, but the tin coat drops efficiency by like... 10%... correct me if I am wrong.

  • Hello. To clarify, Kicker wire is SILVER Tinned Oxygen Free Copper (OFC). That means we take OFC wire and coat it in a thin layer of silver before bundling it in a "cable" and wrapping a PVC jacket around it. Silver has better conductance than even OFC but it is stupid expensive. That's why we use a thin layer on the OFC rather than a solid silver cable. In addition, we use many strands of very fine OFC to improve it's overall conductance due to the "skin effect." I hope this helps.

  • Does Rockford Produce True Gauge Wire?

  • Yes, Rockford does make true gauge wire. In fact, Rockford Fosgate cable meets the CEA-2015 standard for cable/wire. That means that the cable is make with the specific amount of copper to meet the gauge size requirements. With Rockford, you will get a true gauge rating.

  • Thanks a bunch and by the way I Love Ya'll Service and Prices!!!

  • how bout tsunami im thinking bout running all MTX Audio in my car btw i bought the MTX Audio TCE4510X2D from you guys at 120 great subs, price and service, i also bought the Tsunami Glow Tip RCAs from you and I currently have all Tsunami power wires as well as a Tsunami capacitor and i wanna know if they make true gauge wire. thanks

  • @SonicElectronixTV so many companys add more rubber surround to there wire to make it look bigger like the install bay 2 amp wiring kit i bought from you guys only had like 4 gauge wire wire in it... it was suposed to be 0/1 gauge. my 12 gauge rockford fosgate speaker wire was thicker wire than my wiring kit i got from soche suposidly 8 gauge!
