  • This Puerto Rican folk guitar is called "cuatro".  The tuning is as follows:

    4th string = E; 5th= B; 1st=G; 2nd= D;

    3rd= A

    (You can use a guitar tuner).

  • It is called a Cuatro, like the number 4. Its indeginous to Puerto Rico only. And if your ever interested in purchasing one buy it directly from P.R., stay away from those you see malls or sold at local music store for they are made of very low quality materials.
