  • Thank you for posting this series. It was very interesting. Although I've seen the documentaries he referred to (Hollywood Unmasked & Hollywood's War on God), I really appreciate the additional insights that he provided.

  • Gentle people. Let us not be wise in our own eyes, nor prudent in our own sight as the scripture says. I have listen to this video, and nowhere do I hear the presenter tearing down Son Screen. He simply voiced what he observed at the time he approached them. Let us not okay ignorant here either. Not all Israel is Israel, if you get what I am saying. If you choose to be honest, Sadly, there are areas if our church's ministry that is just as perverted as aspects of Hollywood. It would be r

  • @PsalmsPoetic: He was not trying to tear down Son Screen. He was simply giving his experience of someone who was steeped in Hollywood, was rescued from it, and came to Son Screen. In stating that much of what was taking place at Son Screen was identical to what was happening in Hollywood, he was only trying to help his brothers and sisters in a loving, but faithful way. As Christians we should all speak the truth to one another in love. God bless!

  • Was the presenter saying that we should not be using the media (radio, television, videos, etc.) to proclaim the gospel or was he making the point that it is not wise for us to use acting/drama to proclaim the gospel.

  • Just to be clear, I don't disagree with his entire presentation, just his view of Son Screen and Christian filmmaking. I suppose since the speaker got involved in film because he was chasing a dream of being Hollywood's next leading man that he believes that is everyone's intention. Some folks got involved in film because it is a calling and a talent in which they intend to serve Christ. His views on Son Screen is as ridicules as folks who are against power point presentations.

  • And my final point, there are more than 6 billion people on this planet, stop thinking that there is only one way to communicate with people, and stop thinking that your experience is everyone's experience. If Christ is offended by anything, it would be the close door theology that the righteous often practice. Once you're in, you close the door to others who are trying to enter. You were called to do this ministry, so were Christian filmmakers....

  • I disagree with this. Christians, particularly Adventist who have been entrusted with the last days truth, should be ever so present in the art of film making, and in media in general. Media is the primary way in this generation that ideas and messages are transmitted. For example, I never seen this dude speaking here in my hood trying to talk to folks about Christ, nor would he be accepted there. But a good movie, or a good song just might penetrate.

  • Amen!

  • thank you for this... I am working on an AYS program about TV and Movies... this has changed the game...

  • Which part did you find most interesting?

  • I watched this whole thing assuming that I would regret it. I could write endlessly about my reaction, but I'll just make it simple: Mind. Blown.

  • what think of drama in church. in Jesus day had theater, and it is not recorded he has been in one

  • @daren99 Christ never sung in a choir either...
