Over all I think you did a great job with the piece. That last lick is pp though, and then diminuendo(s). That last note especially seemed out of character. Nice sound you're getting!
Great sound and style on this! Great legato style for sure. I like the interpretation too.
Regarding what damnidiot said (how ironic), have you ever heard a little known thing called West Side Story? That's plenty jazzy. I think Bernstein would have dug this interpretation.
Also, I do love me some Charles Lindberg. A guyt that can play trombone while flying is amazing! LOL.
Yes, I was poking fun of our friend down there who called one of the best classical trombonists CHARLES. Can't say I much listen to the opinion of someone who can't even get the name of a well-known trombone player right! Haha.
Not my favourite interpretation. I would rather prefer the version by Charles Lindberg, but, well, he is one of the best classic trombonists in the world.
But that "bluesy interpretation" as bobilleg74 said, is perhaps very creative but I would not suggest that Bernstein intended this.
For my intention time is more important than creativity playing this awesome pieceof classical trombone music.
That was great, I'm in year twelve doing TEE music and this is my chosen song. That was really awesome to listen to, i might upload my own version soon. How long have you been playing trombone?
very nice.

Interpretation generally encompasses dynamics, inflection, not changing the rhythm.
