  • 5:00 comes in a nice cherrywood case. meh

  • Why do you assume that people using this mic will have shitty little amps or something? I just got this mic and I have a giant 8 speaker vintage 1977 refurbished cabinet that is really nice.

  • @johneeeee Plus my cabinet is a Marshall, have had it since I was like 14. You almost made me want to return the mic for like calling me a beginer or something. I have played music over 30 years, since I was a tot. Nice music by the way!

  • Great review. Thank you.

  • hey man , i just baught the blue spark , the limited eddition blue color one =) the shockmount looks much much diffrent , it looks almost like its sitting on a plate , were could you i get one like the one your using? any way omeone could message me a link? ty s omuch

  • do i have to buy phantom power?

    for the mic

  • @NickleDimeRecords Yes all condensers require Phantom power as should this mic.

  • @Steven205 but what mic would be good for rapping but alot of high best freaking quality

  • @Steven205 Not all condensers require phantom, the audio technical at2020 does not.

  • @VisualK3i94 at2020 requires phantom power, ive been using it for like 7 years.....awesome little mic!

  • @officialessentialz No it doesn't i have a at2020, and I never have to press the phantom power button on my audio interface.

  • @VisualK3i94 AT2020 Large Diaphragm Condenser Microphone Specs: Polar pattern: Cardioid Frequency response: 20-20,000Hz Impedance: 100 ohms Noise: 20dB SPL Dynamic range (typical): 124dB, 1kHz at Max SPL Phantom power requirements: 48V DC, 2 mA typical

Thats what i got from Musiciansfriend page on the specs tab and thats what dude told me when he sold me the mic at Long and Mcquade. Not trying to argue just telling what Ive been told.

  • Excellent review. Very thorough and well thought out. I'm sure a lot of viewers will have gone on to buy a Spark after watching this, so Blue owe you a large steak dinner I reckon...

  • Welp, I rap I have been using Blue Snowball it did the job served its purpose as I was learning and was a beginner in recording. Today I discovered the Blue Spark and I watched numerous videos and read many reviews on the 'Spark' So I decided to purchase the mic I hope I love it as much as everyone else does!

  • Great review man!

  • The Spark's a small-diaphragm mic, isn't it?

  • @TheOfficialMiracle No. Small-diaphragm mics are almost always a small cylinder shaped mics, like a roll of dimes.

  • is it a usb mic?

  • @maddiekellyyoh

no but theres something called an iceical that turns it into 1

  • is it worth paying an extra $60 and get the blue spark other than the MXL 990

  • @mx22man Yess

  • @mx22man Hint: MXL are junk mics.

  • @mx22man hahahahaa YES! the 990 is nothing.

  • @mx22man yep lol this mic is just so amazing for the price and is far superier over the mxl in everyway

  • The new ones completely changed the shock mount now...looks like a small ufo the new one.

  • Tune your instruments :D

  • ok i rap so i should press dat buton on da back or leave it alone.

  • @TheRASTAreekee leave it disengaged itl give it a way nicer deep edge :)

  • Does this need a power supply or what im so confused i ordered mine yesterday and its on its way so do i absolutely need a power supply or what?

  • @joedynamite1230 its a condenser mic so yes you need phantom power (48v)

  • Great review made me feel good about my purchase:)

  • I use this mic for my covers :) Love it! I use it with avid pro tools 8 :)

  • How do we know we are listening to the blue spark audio and not the camera audio?

  • @SkylarJackson Why would they lie to you there trying to sell a product

  • i have this mic its prety fukin raw

BUT... it wont sound its best if u know nun bout mastering

mastering is wat its all about

  • props man, you're awesome

  • great video thanks =)

  • Best review I've seen. Simple. Informative. Great job

  • could anyone make a review of the t.bone SCT-800 plz?

  • Great review, seriously considering this or an NT1a, thoughts?

  • @ayeowe12 se2200A Best In Its Price Range. that is the same price range of the NT1a.

  • how does this sound with a tube

  • are u using any pre-amps? or any EQ's or is it dry?

  • Focus engaged on the AC15 sounded great. A little harsh on the vocals and Uke. I'm impressed with this mic and will likely get it.

  • Question for you: what audio interface is used for recording? Are you using a mixer or an interface (i.e) USB or Firewire? The quality is excellent....very rich and very full I think....makes me wanna go out and cop one myself! Good video!

  • thanks

  • How does this mic compare to for example the Rode nt1a?

  • Wow...really a great video...well shot...(didn't make me motion sick) and your not stupid...thanks a ton.

  • which soundcard and preamp used?

  • Thank's!!! :D

Do you think it will be better than Apex 435?

    (with a fast track pro)

  • better with it disengaged

  • Sick. Good review. I would definitely like it to be uploaded in HD next time through though. YouTube compresses the heck out of the audio, so it doesn't really do justice to your detailed insights, until you can watch it in 720p or higher..

  • best freakin review ever

  • Dude best review on this Mic I've seen I'm buying this because of ur help

  • Great review. I've had the Blue Spark on my radar for a few weeks now. Thanks for filming, thanks for testing.
