the reason the the form of this structure doesnt fit into the surrounding city is because its trying to bring people back into the city and the current urban format isnt working.
this really takes away fromt the architectual integrity of the city...the building doesnt share the same design as any of the buildings and is too contemporary...but i guess a new building never hurt...
I'd probably support it if the building itself wasn't an eye sore on the Louisville skyline. Myself Louisville just has a certain air to it, and that building just doesn't have it.
I'm such a huge fan of this project. How long does it take to build bridges or a downtown arena? These guys just said "we're going to build a giant skyscraper" and wrote the check. The private sector at its best.
Very impressive for anywhere in the Sates, let alone Kentucky. Will it have the night time light effects, much like the Hong Kong skyline, or is that just a sales pitch by the architect?

Not sure it looks that great w/ skyline, but building is very impressive. Now we just need skyrail around town!
