....how do I appy 'delay' or 'reverb' to just one channel.. say the drum track or just a bass track? when i add effects it apllies to the full sound of all the tracks. what if i only want effects on one channel?

@IAmThinkTank it can be used as a mastering extra to give a certain flavor to the audio or the song ... but in some genres of music it ruins the track such as in HipHop or Pop ... but in Techno or Trance music a delay can make it unique .. .

This is all very well, but I can´t figure out how on earth to use a delay effect on just ONE instrument. Every time I try adding the effect all of the intruments get echo-y and it screws up the whole song. I can´t seem to find any tutorial that helps with this problem. Probably due to the fact that I´m a noob.

@HunterLovell i am guessing you dont know that every instrument is routed to a channel in the mixer ... you can apply effects to every channel individually ..

Lets say you routed your Violin to channel 11 ... you add a Revarb and a Delay there ..

the effects applied to the Master Channel in the mixer affects all plugins and instruments .. so its better to put compressors and EQ's there not specific effects such as Reverb or Flangus . .. if you didnt get it .. message me and i'll help . :D

mi having the opposite problem, i got a bell soundfont, its supposed to be a single bell, but when i use it on my patter, the sound still comes out for example, i put the bell in one square, it plays *DEN* but after it sounds it keeps sounding all the way into the music *EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE­EEEEEEEEN* help!

Be careful your not adding it on the master channel, link the clap to a free channel in the mixer and then apply the delay plugin, hope that helps mate :)

Maybe You Put The clap under The "Main Automation" Try Not To Put Anything on the main automation Grid...Usually thats grid #9..Im Not sure If thats Your problem though..lol

what u wanna do is select the vocal track by simply clicking on the track. Then go to your mixer and right click where it says " insert 1 " or " insert 2 " (whatever number) and go down to " Link selected channels " and then to " To this track ". Then look to the right of the mixer there are arrows pointing down. Click on arrow, go to "Select" and go to "Fruity delay 2" or " Fruity Delay Bank ". BTW NEVER put delay on the master track in the mixer because it will give delay to the whole thing!

make sure ur vocals and ur beats are coming from a diff channel..make sure ur vocal and beat channels are not routed thru the same channel in the mixer

put ya voice in a specific chanell, and put delay bank on that chanell, not in master, and delay will be just on your voice. (:
