  • who are they!!!!!!!!!!!!!!????????

  • Not many people seem to spar like that anymore :(

  • nice fight i like those awesome kicks but i prefer itf

  • Back when Koreans only knew about their sport TKD and their dynamics. Every TKDoka now does know the game. If you look at those guys against the Koreans they were just beginners. Too bad you still see guys fighting like those beginners with a black belt. Okay mybe you can count to 10 can fight invisible opponents doesnt mean you can fight yet :D

  • EPIC WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • DAMN!

  • (dyslexic) they kick so many times under the belt,,thats not right !!! hate go fights with people that kick in the balls and ass..this peope have black belt and kick more under the belt than over..they must stop doing that,,lokks stupid and its not good to get kicked in the balls when you try to kick in their head !!!

  • very very good

  • 시범종목일때네요 그래도 태권도가 올림픽정식종목으로 자리잡은거 많은 사람들의 공헌이 있었습니다.

  • nice vid man thanks for posting come and check me out and tell us what you think thank you very much every one is welcome to view my vid except for haters

  • Did someone dubb this? Serious question btw

  • USA's coach was my uncle Chung Ho Park:)just saying

  • last guy's kick is epic.

  • we emphasize kicks because *

  • too many tkd haters that always compare the sport part of tkd to other martial art.. if your one of the dumn heads this is the sport part of tkd.. we emphasize because its stronger that doesnt mean we aint gonna block and use our hand is real situation, so please educate your self since you guys are fat nerds wanna be martial artist.. if you can just imagine how fast and strong tkd kicks are, but that is imposible because 1st you guys are stupid 2nd wtching mma doesnt make you martial artist.LOL

  • @JDL8807207 This comment really nailed 99% of the "TKD SUX" comments.

  • At the end they almost knockout the refferee

  • Wowow great this is very exciting to watch, plus alot of those kicks are dealing actual damage! Intense!

  • mmm, weird, it's actually fun to watch. It's a lot more technical, as in, it doesn't look like a cock fight anymore, or did, for that matter. They seem so sloppy nowadays.

  • I like the OLD TAEKWONDO!!

  • I like it~!!!

    I like old school TKD~!!!

  • dam voi chang da

    nhu may con ga choi

    chan that

  • jajajajaja korea rules

  • nice

  • I love the old style olympic TKD. The game just isnt about the dynamic kicking anymore, just who can get the quickest body shot. Yeah that does take alot of training and skill, but it is not fun to watch, and most spectators dont know when or even why a point was given. This is why TKD is in danger of being dropped from the Olympics now

  • i know your point. tae kwon do sparring is supposed to be like a chess game. so many people try to rush the game....

  • @lesstalkmorerockuk Who said tkd is in danger of being dropped from Olympics?

  • yo man just one thing... taekwondo was first time considered an olympic sport in 2000... so that could not be in 1988

  • it was taken in as an official game in 2000 but was first introduced back in 1988 seoul olympic and has been part of olympic since than.

  • It was a demonstration sport at the Seoul Olympics in1988

  • The Olympics was at Seol, Korea that year and Taekwondo was set up as a demonstration sport. After years of reviewing, it was made a full fledged Olympic competition.

  • @RonniiV really? So 1988 is when it all went down? wow thanks for sharing that fact!

  • Comment removed

  • ¡Viva España!

  • Haha USA

  • shut the fuck up u dont know shit lol tae tae do lmao

  • kwon means to punch tae means to kick dumbass

  • This is from the era I first started in TKD. Now in Korea I am trying to adapt to the new style. It is definitely faster, but so much emphasis is placed on the 45 degree round house... TKD is facing elimination from the games in 2012 and I think the use of electronic scoring will greatly aid the sport and put an emphasis back on power. Oddly, your average Korean could care less about TKD and think it is just for kids - they will care after it is dropped from the Olympics though...

  • Omg they are using more than roundhouses!!!

  • uhh

didn't Taekwondo become an Olympic sport in the year 2000

    I'am so confused

  • 1988 was a demonstation sport.

  • ohh ok

    thanks

  • 1988 it debued as a demonstration sport

  • Thanks to competitors like the Lopez's as you can see Taekwondo has gotten worse and oh so boring!!

  • Steven Lopez, the infamous cheater using his shin to block opponent's kicks, which made even more boring for TKD sports. Though his younger siblings seem like good people.

Olympic TKD is so specialized that it stopped being "martial arts" a long time ago. A barrage of round-house kick, after kick after kick; right-left-right-left. Boooring. A very few take risks anymore, afraid of being "out pointed." A case in point, Mexico vs. Costa Rica for the gold medal. Costa Rican should have won.

  • It is undeniebly so that the grandmasters know more than they teach. This is becuase, for someone to know a certain aspect of Taekowondo they must be at a certain levle. But it is sad that rarely anyone has reached such a levle to understand the true Taekwondo, but there are still people who reached that levle and carry on what their masters had done. The people who need to know the real tkd know. Real Taekwondo is not gone, but hidden my friend. And only the worthy will know its secrets. :)

  • There's nothing secret about it. It's all about the might $. Who do you think controls the Olympic TKD? Koreans of WTF variety. There's nothing esoteric/mystical about TKD. Get off watching too much "Crouching Tiger" movies. It is amount of effort/dedication one puts in = end result. So-called "Grand Masters?" Have met many. Some I'm impressed as people. Athletically, not too much impressed; though they are good at their "art." If you twirl pencils for 20 years, you can become a master. Duh

  • I thought the " :) " I put at the end of my comment showed i wasn't serious. But incase it didn't get through, I wasn't serious. By the way I have watched alot of " Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" and let me tell it is pretty damn awsome.

  • holy cow, it is better

  • awesome video, so much better than nowadays tkd in my opinion
