I get goosebumps listening to a short list of soundtracks but Newton and Howard on The Dark Knight gets me right down to the marrow. TDK is still one of the best experiences I've had in the theater.

TDK is for movielovers who also like comics etc. Slumdog Millionaire is just for a broader audience (man AND woman for example, and the lot of people who do not have anything with men behind masks etc.).

I reckon most Slumdog lovers didnt see TDK, so they couldnt be blown away by its soundtrack.

Im pretty sure the movie has cut scenes ( even if Nolan sayin it has'nt ) and they were not released.

Remember the first picture of the new bat-suit ? Bale stands on a police car. The scene is not in the movie

I think that what he meant was that there were no scenes left in the cutting room that he thougt should be in a director's cut. The discussion at the time he said this was whether there would be an extended director's cut of the movie.

Director's cuts are only made if the director wasnt satisfied with the theatrical release cause of the studio's intervention.

Hans Zimmer was definitely the best composer of the last decade. He had Gladiator, the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy, both new Batman movies, Black Hawk Down, and so many others. He's a genius and amazing. My favorite composer next to John Williams.

I agree, not that I put any stock in the Teen Choice Awards (or the Grammys or Oscars). But the Hancock score, while it's not bad (I even have it in my collection), but the Dark Knight score is just as powerful as the movie. I'm listening to the score right now, and the Harvey/Two-Face is one of my favorites. It's uplifting, melancholy and haunting, much like the story arc of Harvey Dent. The Hancock score tends to play one note in its themes. TDK builds on the promise of the Begins score.
