I have had this for 2 years now and all of a sudden, the mp3 will pause by itself out of nowhere. I click reset sooo many times hoping that it will stop but it still does it.

Does this mean it's time for a new one?

@loveLEINA yes it does it happen to mine :( and i call sony a wile back they told me to hold reset button for 30 seconds and check if it works and it didnt they told me it cant be fixed and i can send it in for $107 so i just told them thanks but il stick to listening to music on my psp cause it too much and its like 2years old

What kind of videos are you trying to add. Youtube? DVD?

videos from youtube when i download them the ones that were created through wmm will work but anything else wont work

well if you are downloading them from youtube, they will most likely be in flv format. This walkman only supports mp4 format, so you will need to convert the videos. I use a free program called format factory, google it, it can convert almost any video file.

every once in a while you have to connect it to the usb computer the cord and remove it and everything will be normal because sometimes i would turn my player on after having it on hold and the screen won't have a display but i would connect it to the computer and it will be fine but it rarely happens

for cover art...download "media monkey" just google it and whenever you download it, save the album cover or picture and drag it to the song while i'ts playing on its media player....it's alot of work but worth it since i downloaded it last night =]

if you are recently buying this device like myself "week 1/2 ago" it will come with ear phones that cancel's the loud noises from outside and they are comfy. I turned it up to anything because the earphones are that good and it took a day 1/2 for my battery to lose one notch. My roommate has a 2gb ipod and his battery lasts only a few hours and i laugh at him charging it constantly while im laying in bed lol.....thanx again sony!!! ipod and Zune is kicking the ipods ass.

i have the red S616F and it looks 10000000X's better than the ipod. The battery lasts over 15+ more hrs than the ipod. This mp3 player doesn't freeze, and it's cheaper.......i wish apple would wake up and see that sony and zune is kicking their asses in price and memory

Did you use the required converter for it, or did you just drag videos into the video folder, if you dragged videos into the folder chances are you probaly got the message telling you that the format is not supported that it can be displayed on the device but not played on the player . what you should do make sure you have enough storage capacity on the walkman then convert your videos into mp4 using sony media manager pro then transfer to the walkman

I just recently bought this player and i got to say it is a dcecent mp3 player sound quality is excellent, the user interface is pretty good the display is also excellent, this is a small player which can easily fit in your pocket or in the palm of your hand. video quality and playback is excellent despite the screen being kinda small at 1.8 inches, i would only recommend watching music video's on here rather than full legnth movies as you may get a headache after awhile.

just download mp4 files and drop at sony storage media and then go into music folder and paste the mp4 movie there and then u can see on movies is fucking easy to get movies to this mp3!! i did it on first day i bought it whitout read manual book

I just bought this player recently and it is great , good overall audio easy to navigate and input songs on it, i paid 99.97 for this player and it's a good price for such a decent player , this is overall the best mp3 player in my opinion better than sandisk or insignia cause they both suck.

I did some research and found how to convert videos for this badboy.

1. You need a video converting program, such as Freez iPod converter or imToo video converter.

2. If you're using Freez, then simply just add your videos and convert away. If you're using imToo, then under the converting formats (it says Save as) select: iPod MPEG-4 Normal. Convert away.

3. Then do the normal drag and drop, voila! You can watch videos.

Hope that helps!

Note: imToo converts more video formats than Freez.

well you probly got a disc with your mp3. so install all that stuff and then whenever you plug your mp3 into the computer that menu pops up and asks you waht you want to transfer,, just click on photo or video if thats what you want

Yes it plays Mp4 perfectly, and the visual/sound quality is amazing. I just use something like Freez iPod Video Converter's to convert whatever to MP4 and just drag & drop :)

3)slap the clear bass to its max

4)1st bar up one

5)2nd bar leave alone

If your using a software for your walkman like Napster or Windows Media Player, then all you have to do is delete, add, or edit any song on the software when u connect ur walkman it will sync automatically

You can get up to 5000 ut the ipod says 2000 since yits a more reasonable awnser to how many should get on there along with pic's videos and game etc etc

The sound is much better on the a-818, I live in the u.k and i have a a-816 and it is superb, the sound is better on the a version then the s because the a has much better sound and earphones then the s. Everything else is the same apart from the fact that the a is the top of the range and you get much better headphones and belive me its well worth it! :-)
