Walt and John Byrne are the most influential comic artists in my life. Even though now I'm more a film maker now, I still do my own storyboards, and my art style still screams Simonson and Byrne.
cool, I wouldn't expect them to do further reprints outside of the Gates of Apokolips. Orion was unfortunately selling about 10,000 - 15,000 per issue via previews at the middle- end of its run, which is a very low number. I believe DC let him work on a bunch of issues just because the critical and fan reception (for those that bothered reading the book) was so high, when they otherwise would have normally cancelled a book with those sales figures.
I heard Walt speak about Orion at the NY ComicCon. Unfortunately, DC does not have any plans to reprint it in a tradepaperback form in the US. (Though it's available that way in other countries, but not in English).
Too bad my time at the convention was really limited. I really regret not getting more videos. Walt Simonson deserves a documentary. Hopefully other people will get videos of him drawing and share it here!

Filming it standing opposite Mr. Simonson and then vertically flipping the video so it's right-side-up was a great idea! This was cool to watch. :-)
