  • Nobody wants to see a damn slideshow. We want to see the SSC Ultimate Aero and Bugatti Veyron race head to head. I'm not gonna comment without choosing which one I like better. I personally like the SSC Ultimate Aero better for several reasons. The Ultimate Aero is far lighter, has more hp than the Veyron, less expensive, better gas milage, aerodynamically designed, and has a simple V8 while the Veyron runs a V16.So the SSC Ultimate Aero is cheaper to repair bc there's less parts to break

Iff they made a 2200hp Vauxhall Victor as a production model would you like it better than a ssc just becouse its the fastest road legal car.   • @kkwacko I look for a lot of things. Performance is important to me because the way I look at it, it's about the driving experience for me. But at what cost? In some cases, the better car can be more expensive, but then again, it's not always true. Have you wondered why the Ultimate Aero is cheaper than the Veyron? I'm not entirely sure why that is, however, I know it's American made unlike the Veyron. That could be why, but I would think there's more factors to why it's less expensive

  • @kkwacko The way I see it, there should be a car that has everything one could possibly want. And that is what Shelby Super Cars is aiming on with their next generation car. Can't wait to see the specs on it and how it performs. As for the Veyron, I'll make this real simple. Keep all the specs of the Veyron the same such as HP, torque, and things of that nature. But reduce the weight by about half a ton or more. What do you think the difference will be?

I'm hoping to see something good come out of it or something new that no other production car has had. It's always exciting to see what's different between the old and the new.   • I want to like the Aero better, but just can't. Yes, it is faster, but it spins it rear wheels in gears 1-4 when traveling full throttle and is useless in the corners. Volkswagen knew that the Veyron would be a groundbreaking vehicle and therefore built it unlike any other supercar: It uses two V8's to increase power while keeping torque down (so its wheels don't loose traction). It also has AWD to best use the 1000 horsepower. The Veyron is worse on paper, but it is the better car to own.

  • If the video is to "compare" the two cars then the SSC is better. Its faster, i believe lighter, gets better mpgs "barely lol" and faster acceleration. Cheaper too. If you are trying to determine which car is better based on statistics the SSC pulls ahead, if your trying to compare based on "i like this car, or i own this car" etc. etc. thats an opinion, not fact.

    SSC is faster. FACT

    That makes it the Technical victor.

  • @RnB123100: Actually the Ultimate Aero has almost all the luxuries of a luxury sedan. It has A/C and heater, heated and cooled seats, 10 speaker sound system, back up camera, GPS, CD and DVD player, and front air lift for raising the nose of the car to clear speed bumps. And also, the new Ultimate Aeros 2009 and 2010 also now have power steering.

  • Well there was a race. The Founder of SSC Jerod Shelby said he once street raced against the Veyron from a rolling start. He said he was pulling a whole car length ahead, on each gear shift. Unfortunately there is no video of it. But however, sometime this year, Motortrend is going to do races between The Ultimate Aero, the Veyron, and the Koenigsegg. So just keep checking motortrend. lol

    I do actually, and when I was talking about comfort, I meant that you can go that 407km/h and not even feel like you're doing that speed, cause the noise isn't even that bad. All I'm saying is that bugatti to my opinion is a better engeneerd car, and that i'm sure that they haven't reached their limits with that technology yet.

  • @FlyingAero the aero doesný have an adaptable suspension, doesn´t have a retractable rear spoiler .You say the slalom in the aero is greater than in the bugatti, prove it. There´s a reason why you aren´t going to be able to prove it, the aero is a lot larger than the buggati and if check all the reviews on the aero, everyone says the handling is just horrible. If you wan´t a very fast car but only to use it in a very long straight road, the aero is you´re car.

  • @FlyingAero So as you say bugatti is almost twice the weight of SSC isn't it a shame that it does 0-60 even quicker then this kit car. Also a much heavier Bugatti SS rapes this SSC despite having the elements of a luxury car in it.

    SSC project is a failure as since its production only 6 have been sold. Bugatti sold more then those on its first day of sales.

  • @tabswtc Go back to school. More weight allows the bugatti to have better traction on the road for the first 2.5 seconds. .2 seconds faster than the aero. The bugatti veyron SS costs how much? For the extra $1.65 mill that I wouldve spent on a geyron, im sure I could spruce up the interior a bit If I wanted too. Go to the ssc website to get your facts instead of making them up

  • @FlyingAero I can't believe i am reading this hilarious comment. No wonder a lighter Porsche with same amount of power take the initial lead in a drag to most of its heavier competitors. For your knowledge:

    1. Torque.

    2. Power to weight ratio.

    3. Traction to put that power onto the road.

    And SSC transmission is old school. Can not handle the power in smaller gears just like any other American modded car. Shame, poor kit car.

I believe the transmission was the only thing holding it back from 260mph+. When you attempt to insult the car you just end up sounding stupid because its faster and handles better than the veyron. According to you a "poor modded american kit car" Is a whole lot more car for the money

    Even i have a feeling all those claims are fake, because otherwise SSC would have been given to car testers. I can't find a single reliable review of this kit car.

    the mc f1, it only has 627hp, wheelspin at first up to proly 50mph. they crash tested it at 50mph and the front wheel arch is still there.

    the ssc aero, wheelspins to 150mph. what happens if you lose the rear end then? you die.

    besides that, in order to get max accel, you must feather the throttle like some pussy. either that or you impatiently floor and you die.

    whats a supercar if you cant floor it?

  • Here is the reason the Aero is the best V8 twin Turbo vs V12 (veyron). They have already raced them in the desert a shiek shut down a major highway for a demo on this. The Aero pulled a car length all gears until the veyron couldnt go anymore. It is the fastest of the two and I like how it looks better. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but the numbers truly do speak for themselves Aero 413 km per hour , Veyron 407.9 km per hour. There is a vid of this if you dont trust me.

  • the ssc ultimate aero is not a kit car, it holds the speed record for a production car, verified by gueniss. it has a higher top speed, 2566 official, but on a longer road it could theoretically do 273, but they only had 2 miles of usable road ( closed public road, not a racetrack) it has more power, 1287, to the rear wheels, it weighs a lot less, almost half as much, has a real manual, not a dsg electric thingy, all the luxuries of the veyron, and a few people who drove both say it rides better

  • Veyron has a fast 0-60. Thats about all it has on the Aero in performance. From there the Aero has a faster quarter mile at 9.9 at 144mph compared to the bugattis 10.2 at 142. Im reading of the 2009 Aeros specs. The 2010 Aero is even lighter and faster. The bugatti reached 253 on VW's nicely paved private track thats sloped to block off crosswinds and barely hit 253. The Aero hit 257 on a 2 mile highway straight in Washington. Cracks in the road and all. Theyve hit 253 in snow on the same hwy.
