I wish they would redo this song with the improved techniques and equipment that they use to produce their current stuff. I'd be amazed to hear this two-part harmony of guitars done with the current line-up AND produced the way they did for the guitar stuff on New Maps of Hell. Like all people Bad Religion may have mellowed with age but i'm willing to bet their views are still the same as when they wrote this song.

Greatest punk band of all time? Maybe, but they are definetly the most sophisticated. I like how unlike most punk bands their songs state intellectual reasons for their anger that go beyond raw emotion.

They never sold out and never will.

Sure, the 90s punk was better than what we get now but you have to understand that they're not 20 years old anymore, they grew up and might have wanted to make a change on their music.

That's where we get the new sound of Bad Religion as on TESF and New maps of hell.

Every band changed, Pennywise did with From the ashes and Anti-Flag did with Blood and empire.

This song, Against the Grain, is just on of the most underrated of Bad Religion. The lyrics are probably the best about this subject. The music in this song is simply incredible: great riff, cool chords layout and nice voice melody. I'd say it's in my BR Top 10!
