Actually i have noticed that Wolfstone live does their songs in a key lower then the key they do their songs in on their cd's. They have done it on several songs like: Cleveland park, Gillies, Erin, etc. So my mistake, I was going off of the key they played Gillies in on their cd.
The original key that that song is in is the key of "B." I have a B-Flat Whistle and Gillies is in a key about a sliver of the key of B-Flat higher. But Gillies is a song that sounds awesome in a low key.
Very talented! Love this tune. May I ask what kind of flute you are playing, who makes the best quality, & will you advise the best tutorials to listen & learn from? Kind regards, thanks for sharing. Hit me back please at Troybond1@gmail. Com
hey, do you have any accompanying music? i have been asked to play the piano for this with my pipe band. even what the guitar played would be cool! what a great performance by the way! it is such a moving tune.
that is great! I have tried playing that before but really struggled. Looking at your fingering I think I had different music for it. Any chance I could get a copy of the music you used? Thanks
Thank you! What is the key of your whistle? I play it on a D whistle here. The fingering is identical to how you would play it on an A whistle, as the original track was played on one. The key is Bmin on the A whistle. A copy of the music is in my description. The link.
beautiful Scottish tune there

Also I love how you used the Guitar as a backing instrument in your version of Gilles.

@d1v4dPwnz: the left pinky acts as a timing device
