I'm British. Like you Americans our government is really in the Middle East for the long petro-chemical haul. We want what they got and will make bogey-men of those who get in our way. I'm OK with that! I'd just like our Governments to be honest about it!
@pleacher Well I remember ridder talkin his shit 8 or nine years ago and he came off as an idiot . Well now he got caught having webcam sex with a 12 year old boy. What a jewel!!
@Trashfished You seem to be confused. The sting operation entrapping him was pretending to be girl wanting online sex, not a "boy," and not 12 years old but 15.
He has been convicted for a sexual crime, but that does nothing to disprove any of the facts he put on the table concerning our really insane right-wing war. (The Right has its own sexual perps aplenty.)
@pleacher Oh excuse me !!He wanted to molest a 15 year old girl then!LMAO!~ What pile of shit he is right there then. Plus he made no sense with his baseless accusations. Which all turned out wrong. Death to child molesters such as scott ridder.
@Trashfished Which accusations of his were baseless? I assume most if not all of his findings were proven correct, can you elaborate? Are you upset due to the fact that he was brave enough to go against the current and tell the truth about finding no evidence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, and so now you are shrilly using the sting operation that entrapped him, as an attempt to discredit his findings? I think that is far more the real deal here, is it not?
It makes one wonder about that sting, but nevertheless I do believe he was guilty of thinking he was committing an online crime, and you think that warrants the death penalty? You must be a Sharia Law proponent.
@pleacher Oh yeah he did have some "incident" with a minor . That piece of shit will get his for that one!! Jacking off in front of a webcam!!LMFAO! Nuff said.
@Trashfished Actually you haven't said anything to support your political opinion. I assume you are only trying to distract from what you cannot defend, by use of this mock "outrage."
@pleacher The iraqis played ridder for a fool . I hope the asshole gets the maximum for jacking off on webcams to What he thought was 12 year old girls and boys. Life in prison is too good for that pervert.
@Trashfished Again you are not saying anything to support your war mongering position and are only engaging in smear as well as the pejorative as apparently that is all you can come up with. That is all you can muster against the obvious truth that Scott Ritter brought to the table of a disastrously damaging U.S. war based on hysterics.
molested by Yras Llorente again, and Stephanie Vega and those doctors from Cuba, and those prostituting nurses you helped manolo reyes to bring in from Philippine Islands, into florida, can you please take your pecker pleaser down now, I am sick of them and you, I hope my governor, starts an investigation, because she will find out who did what in this state & every other, & who really is a child molester, okay, now grow up & stop playing skullie & crossbows, you really need to do it & quick!
it was Bush who set him up, because he didn't find any weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, and Bush made a big deal about it to the media at a fund raiser, way back, and that means he's guilty and ashamed, that is the way he acts, when he gets caught lying, study Bush, he is watching now, as I type this, with the satellites connected to domestic eavesdropping, name changed because people will react to wire tapping with outrage, they are not guilty of anything, treasonists, Bush I am being
It appears to me that all of this centuries murderous wars, the hundreds of thousands of casualties, the millions of refugees, and the trillions of dollars that the people in my country the U.S. have been put into severe deep debt, can be traced directly back to those right wing extremists who have swallowed the two ingredient cool-aid of supporting Zionist neo-national-socialists theft of land and resources from Palestinians,
and US neo-national-socialist control of Muslim oil, both of these two neo-national-socialists are otherwise combined as a team known as "neoconservatives."
The manipulation of our media continues this fascism which uses propaganda to pretend its conquests are but "fighting for freedom" or other such nonsense.
Both Republicans and Democrats have been compromised in this propaganda blitz, and you can hear the heart of the problem listening to the ranting Bush supporter in this thread. Realize he is far-right... but that is where political power starts... and as it ends somewhere in the middle... the Left is pretty much completely powerless given that money and resources controls politics, and there are no mountains of money or resources to to be gleaned from a level, sharing, peaceful society.
Scott has never been convicted of anything. Whereas the Bush Family Fortune was built on trading with Hitler and the family was tried and convicted to trading with the Enemy (ie treason). His father was convicted of drug smuggling and arms trading to support terrorism and as a result the US is the only country in the world convicted by the World court of Terrorism.
***By the way 90% of the neocons are Israeli passport holders (Abrams, Wolfowitz, Israel, jacobson etc) ***
90%? Wow... if that's true, it says a lot of what and who is being played here.
I know that White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel is a massive supporter of AIPAC and Israel, even personally joining the Israeli military operations in Iraq war I. (Instead of supporting the USA troops.)
Sounds like you have nothing, and are only attempting a childish discrediting of the messenger, instead of facing the facts being presented. Its obvious you have a limited agenda, and are engaged in ad hominem attacks because that is all you are limited to.
@pleacher The messenger with an ax to grind, right my favorite. Funny right before war Ritter told Time Mag, “I have never given Iraq a clean bill of health! Never! Never! Now we know this mouth piece for the left was too busy chasing little girls than doing his damn job, but between SEC and Fed employees watching porn all day it should be no surprise, just a left wing nut job dream.
You have presented nothing but ridicule, and now a straw man (Fed employees) in an attempt to bolster your hawkish position.
Scot was proven correct while the majority of us lapped up the lies and deception that I imagine you and yours used to weaken this country in debilitation and murderous war.
1. Present an explanation of how your denigration nullifies any of the points Scot has been making.
2. He was arrested, but not convicted. Where has he not done his job?.
@pleacher Funny the UN passed 15 resulotions in 12 years stating - "Iraq must cooperate fully with UN and IAEA inspectors and allow immediate, unconditional and unrestricted access” because Saddam was cooperating?, And 2 of these were passed under Bush. Not sure what immeadiate means to you but to me it is 11 years too long. Oh I guess the UN was passing all these for fun?
@MissingGWdotcom Many people were fooled into supporting Bushwar II, but Scott came up strong against it. He was right, while the majority of us were proven completely wrong headed.
@pleacher LOLOL like it was Scott Ritters decision that mattered on the Iraq war, that is funny. No that was the 111 DEMs in the congress and the senate that voted for the Iraq war then used people like Scott Ritter to cover up their support, now these same lib losers that was first for it, then against it are now taking credit for Iraq success, how damn funny!!! Note Ritter job was to find WMD nut said he could not do his job because of interferance from Saddam.
@MissingGWdotcom You have no idea clearly on how teh UN works. What you are talking about is Security Council resolutions (ie the Global equivalent of a Mafia Don congress).
@PeterSodhi Really and you do? LMAO, ok back in my chair. What you think UN control USA foriegn policy like 1441? Opps they dont, now the UN could have condemmed USA actions but for Iraq they DID NOT!!! NOTE no UN resolution condemming USA on IRAQ, go figure. Note these countries sent troops to Iraq Britain, Italy, Ukraine, Poland, Bulgaria, Spain; Denmark, El Salvador, Slovakia, Latvia, Estonia, Netherlands, Thailand, Romania, Australia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, and South Korea.
@PeterSodhi Note many many more countries sent finicial help to Iraq in support if the war was well. Note the 15 UN resolutions passes against Iraq over 12 years were Iraq charter 6 resolutions that say “Saddam must…..”, And all of the charter 5 resolutions passed against Israel but they say “it would be nice is Israel did…..” very very different. The reason is because the resolutions do not hold the pals accountable and are one sided. Thats how the UN works DUDE! lolol
@pleacher Scott was not proven right on anything, before the war he claimed he could not prove anything except they were not making WMD at the moment but agreed Saddam was hindering them, all while chaising little girls, what a guy. . This is the 3rd run in with the law over girls. This lying sicko needs to be in a dark deep hole.
@MissingGWdotcom If Scott is guilty of anything, our judicial system will take care of it, but that is really the only point you continue to bring up: A non-point.
Scott said it loud and clear that there were no weapons, and the horror you and yours committed on ourselves and others to, is what you really feel guilty about, and are dumping on Scott for.
@pleacher Scott is going to jail on this latest wacking off in front of the computer for little girls. Wrong Scott said Right before war Ritter telling Time Mag, “I have never given Iraq a clean bill of health! Never! Never! Oh and note 15 un resolutions saying - "Iraq must cooperate fully with UN and IAEA inspectors and allow immediate, unconditional and unrestricted access” Not sure what immediate means to you but to me it means 11 years too long.
@MissingGWdotcom Yes agreed - never convicted of anything.
By the way 90% of the neocons are Israeli passport holders (Abrams, Wolfowitz, Israel, jacobson etc).
@PeterSodhi Funny Bush and terrorist, lolol, ok back in my seat. Funny most American Jews have overwhelmly support Israel over the GOP. Matter of fact if you check your history you will find in the 70s and 80s the GOP held little support for Israel, but thankfully both parties now do, just like this week “As far as I am concerned, Turkey is responsible for the nine deaths on that flotilla. Not Israel,” said Rep. Shelley Berkley (D-NV). “I draw a line that they have just crossed.”
@PeterSodhi From the third-ranking Republican in the House, GOP Conference Chairman Mike Pence (R-IN).
“There will be a cost if Turkey stays on its current heading,” Pence warned. “Turkey needs to count the cost.”
“The cost” Pence speaks of is a resolution that’s offered almost annually in the House to recognize the Armenian genocide. The non-binding measure notes how the Ottoman Empire (which controlled much of what is now Turkey) massacred the Armenian population in 1915.
@PeterSodhi Note: Reps. Ted Poe (R-TX) and Gary Peters (D-MI) have crafted a letter to President Obama urging him to “thwart international condemnation and focus the international community on the crimes of the Iran-backed Hamas leadership against Israel.” All from just this week.
Really please get your history at least in this universe.
lol you really are a timewhore. Guess that is what happens when Mossad pays you to troll the internet spouting shit. Get a real job niga. please do not reply any more I am ignoring you.
@PeterSodhi Oh sure that is the way it always is, you cant debate them so you accuse people not agreeing as being paid by the evil other side, how damn funny and from a UN expert, LOLOLOLOL. Then you run away and hide declaring yourself the winner, have a nice hide. LOLOLOL Keep those blinders on tight from the truth, LMAO
@pleacher This lying sicko was charged in a June 2001 sex sting in New York, but the case was dismissed as had been charged with attempted child endangerment after arranging to meet a person he thought was a 16-year-old girl at a fast-food restaurant. The girl was actually an undercover police officer.
The New York Post reported Ritter was caught in a similar case in April 2001 involving a 14-year-old girl, but he was never charged. And lib nuts like you enable him by covering for him
@MissingGWdotcom you support a proven war criminal so your view is bias from the start, and why dont you tell people that the charges against Ritter were all dropped except for the instance where he was never charged.
@Dt0x75 LOLOL even the far left has turned their back on this child abuser. He is no longer invited to any of their propaganda events. LMAO. Hay I agree with John “America is united in its determination to eliminate forever the threat of Iraq's weapons of mass destruction." -- John Edwards, Oct 10, 2002
@Dt0x75 I agreed with Hillary - “Saddam has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including Al Qaeda members, though there is apparently no evidence of his involvement in the terrible events of September 11, 2001. Hillary Clinton, October 10, 2002
@Dt0x75 I agreed with Kerry how about you? "I will be voting to give the president of the United States the authority to use force - if necessary - to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security." -- John F. Kerry, Oct 2002
@Dt0x75 I agreed with Ted and you? "There is no doubt that Saddam Hussein's regime is a serious danger, that he is a tyrant, and that his pursuit of lethal weapons of mass destruction cannot be tolerated. He must be disarmed. "We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction." -- Ted Kennedy, September 27, 2002
@Dt0x75 I agreed with Howard There's no question that Saddam Hussein is a threat to the United States and to our allies. If Saddam persists in thumbing his nose at the inspectors, then we're clearly going to have to do something about it." Howard Dean September 29, 2002
@Dt0x75 I agreed with Byrd and so did world, go figure - We are confident that Saddam Hussein retained some stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons, and that he has since embarked on a crash course to build up his chemical and biological warfare capability. Intelligence reports also indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons, but has not yet achieved nuclear capability." -- Robert Byrd, October 2002
@Dt0x75 I agreed with Bill “The community of nations may see more and more of the very kind of threat Iraq poses now: a rogue state with weapons of mass destruction, ready to use them or provide them to terrorists. If we fail to respond today, Saddam and all those who would follow in his footsteps will be emboldened tomorrow." -- Bill Clinton in 1998
@MissingGWdotcom ok since you are so insistent that he had WMD...Where are they? Why didnt they find them? Hmm? Where are they? I guess the tooth fairy took them?
@Dt0x75 So does it bother you the weapons just disappeared? UMMM, We have films of football fields of Saddam WMD from 1980s as he gas Kurds and Iranians, USA DOW sold Saddam chemicals, so what happen to it? Where was it dumped? Maybe some Shiite grade school yard? Head of Saddam airforce wrote he took them to Syria.
@Dt0x75 Now Hans Blix, who said in 2003 after the war he believed (but did not know for sure and after the war) that Iraq had destroyed most of its weapons of mass destruction years before, but kept up the appearance that he had them to deter a military attack from Iran. Funny same thing Saddam’s soldiers told the Herald - Shame Saddam mis calculated as it was his responsibility to prove he had no weapons not hinder. Maybe they just needed your MAGIC WAND?
@Dt0x75 Note: Even Saddam’s own commanders thought they had WMD, remember Saddam saying he would use gas if American troop entered "ring of fire", Saddam said he would gas Israel remember all gas masks? Only one lying was Saddam. After Saddam told his commanders there was no WMD in DEC 2003 - they were shocked and destroyed, then Saddam told them there was “deterrence by doubt" policy to keep people from finding out. - Guess this policy did not work and the UN passed 15 resolutions agreeing
@Dt0x75 Funny show me one link of one person, country or organization saying Saddam did not have WMD before war? Oh funny not the French, Russians, Germans or UN did not make this claim.
But the all knowing DEMS have no clue what is going on in Iran as they probe a report Iran has made a nuke trigger. Maybe they will have to take action without knowing it all?
@Dt0x75 As far as the weapons I agree with Nancy - I applaud the President on focusing on this issue and on taking the lead to disarm Saddam Hussein. ... Others have talked about this threat that is posed by Saddam Hussein. Yes, he has chemical weapons, he has biological weapons, he is trying to get nuclear weapons." October 10, 2002 Nancy Pelosi
@Dt0x75 I agreed with Harry, how about you? We stopped the fighting [in 1991] on an agreement that Iraq would take steps to assure the world that it would not engage in further aggression and that it would destroy its weapons of mass destruction. It has refused to take those steps. That refusal constitutes a breach of the armistice which renders it void and justifies resumption of the armed conflict." – Harry Reid October 9, 2002
@Dt0x75 Even before GW - “As a member of the House Intelligence Committee, I am keenly aware that the proliferation of chemical and biological weapons is an issue of grave importance to all nations. Saddam has been engaged in the developing of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspections process” Nancy Pelosi DEC 16 1998
@MissingGWdotcom wow dude you are lagging behind the world by at least 7 yrs. Saddam had NO chemical or biological weapons. In 2000 he complied fully with UN Inspections, and RIGHT after the UN inspectors said they found nothing the US decided it was time to tell the UN to pull the inspectors out and invade. WAKE UP!
@Dt0x75 Hay you need to argue with Nancy I applaud the President on focusing on this issue and on taking the lead to disarm Saddam Hussein. ... Others have talked about this threat that is posed by Saddam Hussein. Yes, he has chemical weapons, he has biological weapons, he is trying to get nuclear weapons." October 10, 2002 Nancy Pelosi
@Dt0x75 You need to go argue with Bill, “The community of nations may see more and more of the very kind of threat Iraq poses now: a rogue state with weapons of mass destruction, ready to use them or provide them to terrorists. If we fail to respond today, Saddam and all those who would follow in his footsteps will be emboldened tomorrow." -- Bill Clinton in 1998
@Dt0x75 You need to go argue with Carl - We begin with the common belief that Saddam Hussein is a tyrant and threat to the peace and security of the region. He has ignored the mandate of the UN and is building weapons of mass destruction and the means of delivering them. Carl Levin Sept 19 2002
@Dt0x75 You need to go argue with Howie - There's no question that Saddam Hussein is a threat to the United States and to our allies. If Saddam persists in thumbing his nose at the inspectors, then we're clearly going to have to do something about it." Howard Dean September 29, 2002
@Dt0x75 You need to talk to Teddy - "There is no doubt that Saddam Hussein's regime is a serious danger, that he is a tyrant, and that his pursuit of lethal weapons of mass destruction cannot be tolerated. He must be disarmed. "We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction." -- Ted Kennedy, September 27, 2002
@Dt0x75 I can send you 100s more of DEM leaders calling for war and all the proper reasons, and now these spineless fish are back taking credit for Iraq, LOLOLOL. Funny the UN passed 15 UN resolutions and TWO UNDER BUSH stating "Iraq must cooperate fully with UN and IAEA inspectors and allow immediate, unconditional and unrestricted access” Not sure what immediate means to you but to me it means 11 years too long. WHAT THEY DID THIS FOR FUN
@Dt0x75 Fact is your are writining history to fit your own little idealistic view of the world, really sad. Wake up and read your history please. Saddam signed a treaty to stay in power and refused to adhere to the terms and lost his power with the UN agreeing 15 times over 12 years, but I know you wanted to lety Saddam cheat, kill, shot at our piliots for another 12 years.
@Dt0x75 I know youd be happy with 100s of more mass graves like have been found in Iraq as a result of Saddam including a mass grave with 1500 Kurd young women and children who were wearing their best clothes after being told they were going to relocate but instead they were all shot in the heads with AK47s on a raining muddy day in the middle of the desert. Not to mention the daily hangings Saddam preformed in Liberty Square or the gassing of his own people. This is what makes me mad.
@Dt0x75 Oh and this is telling - [I]t is incontestable that on the day I left office, there were unaccounted for stocks of biological and chemical weapons. We might have destroyed them in '98. We tried to, but we sure as heck didn't know" Bill Clinton, July 2003:
@Dt0x75 Check Joe out counting - "First of all, we don't know exactly what he has. It's been five years since inspectors have been in there, number one. Number two, it is clear that he has residual of chemical weapons and biological weapons, number one." August 4, 2002 Joe Biden
@Dt0x75 Oh and good new - Good news – Saddam is no longer a state sponsor of terror funding Hamas with billions, he is no longer shooting 1500 kurd girls at a time, he is no longer threatening his neighbors, he is not shooting at our pilots and countries like France and Russia are no longer doing illegal business with him THANK YOU GW and DEMs
@MissingGWdotcom Whoa hold on a second....It has been proven Saddam had nothing to do with Al Quida or Hamas. These were all lies to get the public behind invading Iraq.Do you live under a fucking rock dude? If Saddam was such a "threat" why did it take them 11 years to do something about it?
@Dt0x75 Funny it is only the uniform nuts that say the reason for war in Iraq was because of AQ, lolol. Note “Saddam has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including Al Qaeda members, though there is apparently no evidence of his involvement in the terrible events of September 11, 2001. Hillary Clinton, October 10, 2002
@Dt0x75 LOLOL not even Bush would claim AQ was responsible for 911. I sent you a link to the video of Bush saying Saddam had nothing to do with 911 - DAYS right after 911, no one ever claimed Saddam had anything to do with it, but libs in twist up the facts fantasy land. Funny you have all the conculsions but cant get a single fact right and have ignored all the actaul history, LOLOLOL left wing way.
@Dt0x75 LOLOL on Obama - During his State of the Union speech -- a speech that elicited a big yawn from an obviously bored Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid -- President Barack Obama attempted to take credit for the success of the Iraq War when he was a bitter opponent of the successful troop surge implemented by President George W. Bush. Obama proclaimed “I promised I would end this war, and that is what I am doing as President. “ all after saying Iraq was a faliure and how the surge failed,
@Dt0x75 Funny now all these DEMS are sliming their way back taking CREDIT for IRAQ, LMAO!!!!!! GW was right and the world supported him. Countries that send troops to Iraq including Britain; Italy, Ukraine, Poland, Bulgaria, Spain; Denmark, El Salvador, Slovakia, Latvia, Estonia, Netherlands, Thailand, Romania, Australia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Georgia and South Korea.
@MissingGWdotcom the dems are not taking credit for Iraq, and the countries that sent troops to iraq were bought. Why dont you people ever post wholes truths? You live in a fascist state! The military is being used for Corp gain (OIL!) These are very well established facts. Bush tripled the size of the Fed Govt. The Patriot Act is unconstitutional, the military commissions act, the suspension of Habius Corpus...Shall I continue?
@Dt0x75 OK so I have figure out you really do not follow the NEWS at all. Here is what Biden recently said The surge helped make that–what made is possible in Anbar province is they did what I’d suggested two and a half years ago: gave local control. They turned over and they said to the Sunnis in Anbar province, “We promise you, don’t worry, LOLOLOL and this after slaming the surge a year earlier, LMAO!!!!
@MissingGWdotcom Anyway to continue...Holding AMERICAN Citizens indefinitly without charges unconstitutional, AND it has already happened most recently and most publicized was the 16 yr old who was taken under the Patriot Act. His mother was not told what he was charged with NOR where he was taken. His mother hired a lawyer, and they wouldnt even tell him where he was being held and was also denied the right to see him. This is unconstitutional and should worry you GREATLY or are you a NeoFascist
@Dt0x75 LOLOL you are defending a pervert the left has completely turned their back on, GOOD JOB, keep those blinders on tight as I would hate for the light to hurt your black and white idealisitic view of the world, LMAO!!!!
@MissingGWdotcom Bush also invaded Iraq without a declaration of War from Congress which is also Unconstitutional. What part of "illegal" do you not understand?
@Dt0x75 LOLOL 111 DEMS passed the resolution for action in Iraq not to mention passed the Iraq liberation bill making it law Saddam was to be replaced under Clinton, LOLOLOL. Illegal, ok back on my chair.
@MissingGWdotcom that is really all you got, is this fixation on sex. Why is that? What is the constant sex thing with you? I am getting a little suspicious here, usually when someone is so very fixated as you are on a subject, its because there are some very real personal connections to it.
@pleacher Me fixed on sex? That is funny as this man has been caught THREE times trying to get in the pants of little girls and WACKING off on the internet for GIRLS!!!
The good news is we will not be hearing from this loser again as he tried to ride the fer left nuts and we used by the far left nuts despite their over whelming support for the iraq war.
@pleacher Right Scot made all kinds of point depending on the time and what was going on. The told Time mag right before war he never ever gave Saddam a clean bill of health. He supported the 15 UN resolutions against saddam stating Saddam was hindering them. Then after that he became a anti war mouth piece changing his story, all whill WACKING off on the computer for GIRLS!!!
@MissingGWdotcom Again you simply express rage at Scot, and produce nothing in evidence that he was not doing his job.
That he found no weapons, and felt that the inspectors were doing their job well to contain Saddam, and that more inspectors could have been used instead of the insane war which drained our treasury and caused millions of refugees, the destruction of Iraq, 100,000 civilian dead or possibly as much as a million, (we don't count civilians.)
@pleacher You have it wrong, it was Saddam's job to prove he had no WMD and instead he hindered inspectors, and that is why they passed 15 UN resolution including TWO UNDER BUSH stating this. The Herald investigated and has good articles on this stating instead Saddam had an official program called “deterrence by doubt”. He was more worried about Iran than the USA and remember no country, or organization even the UN would say say Saddam had no WMD before war. NONE!
@pleacher Hans Blix, who said in 2003 after the war he believed (but did not know for sure and after the war) that Iraq had destroyed most of its weapons of mass destruction years before, but kept up the appearance that he had them to deter a military attack from Iran. Funny same thing Saddam’s soldiers told the Herald
@pleacher Right those 100,000 killed In Iraq were mostly the bad people the USA killed or the innocents killed by the bad people the USA was fighting. If you are mad at the USA you must be really mad at the people the USA was fighting who killed most of those iraqis.
THEY HAD 12 YEARS and because of Saddam they pass 15 UN !!!!!!! resolutions saying - "Iraq must cooperate fully with UN and IAEA inspectors and allow immediate, unconditional and unrestricted access”
@pleach Not sure what immediate means to you but to me it means 11 years too long. “America is united in its determination to eliminate forever the threat of Iraq's weapons of mass destruction." -- John Edwards, Oct 10, 2002
@pleacher "There is no doubt that Saddam Hussein's regime is a serious danger, that he is a tyrant, and that his pursuit of lethal weapons of mass destruction cannot be tolerated. He must be disarmed. "We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction." -- Ted Kennedy, September 27, 2002
@pleacher “Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to completely deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power." -- Al Gore, 2002 AL was RIGHT!!!
There's no question that Saddam Hussein is a threat to the United States and to our allies. If Saddam persists in thumbing his nose at the inspectors, then we're clearly going to have to do something about it." Howard Dean September 29, 2002 DEAN WAS RIGHT!
@pleacher LOLOL, not even the FAR FAR left will give Scott Ritter the time of day now, they are done using him and out with the trash. But you are insulting me? Is that not how it goes for you nuts, you cant defend this wack job so you attack me, LOLOL.
@pleacher He will be convicted for this wack job. Hans Blix said it better saying in 2003 after the war he believed (but did not know for sure and after the war) that Iraq had destroyed most of its weapons of mass destruction years before, but kept up the appearance that he had them to deter a military attack from Iran. Funny same thing Saddam’s soldiers told the Herald.
@pleacher Funny it was Saddam job to stop hindering inspectors and adhere to the treaty he signed to stay in power. But Saddam blew it. Like Nancy said. I applaud the President on focusing on this issue and on taking the lead to disarm Saddam Hussein. Others have talked about this threat that is posed by Saddam Hussein. Yes, he has chemical weapons, he has biological weapons, he is trying to get nuclear weapons." October 10, 2002 Nancy Pelosi
@pleacher The US empire, you mean the country that has done more good and freed more people than nay nation ever on the face of the earth? Oh and good news Saddam is no longer a state sponsor of terror funding groups like Hamas, shooting 1500 Kurds girls at a time, hanging Shiites daily in Freedom Square, shooting at USA pilots for 12 years, threatening his neighbors and Israel and France, Germany, Russia, and China are no longer doing illegal businesses with him.
@pleacher Right Obama appeasing evil around the world turning his back on the worlds repressed. Obama has turned out the light to the city on the hill for the world’s repressed as Obama kisses Chavez and takes his book as opposition runs for their lives, sees no difference in the opposition in Iran, tells China other things are more important than human rights, supports a want be dictator in Honduras, supporting Syria, against our allies like Israel and trashing America eveytime he gets, disgrace
I should have also stated that he was answering from a line of questioners, one person who just didn't get it even after the hour or more of deliberation of facts, and this is why I believe his frustration shows.
I should edit that out, as its out of context, I am just not that proficient at this yet.
There was also one or more "911 Truthers" dogging this panel he was in from the speaking night before.
I'm British. Like you Americans our government is really in the Middle East for the long petro-chemical haul. We want what they got and will make bogey-men of those who get in our way. I'm OK with that! I'd just like our Governments to be honest about it!

I think that is far more the real deal here, is it not?
pleacher 6 months ago
It makes one wonder about that sting, but nevertheless I do believe he was guilty of thinking he was committing an online crime, and you think that warrants the death penalty? You must be a Sharia Law proponent.

@Trashfished Again you are not saying anything to support your war mongering position and are only engaging in smear as well as the pejorative as apparently that is all you can come up with. That is all you can muster against the obvious truth that Scott Ritter brought to the table of a disastrously damaging U.S. war based on hysterics.

it was Bush who set him up, because he didn't find any weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, and Bush made a big deal about it to the media at a fund raiser, way back, and that means he's guilty and ashamed, that is the way he acts, when he gets caught lying, study Bush, he is watching now, as I type this, with the satellites connected to domestic eavesdropping, name changed because people will react to wire tapping with outrage, they are not guilty of anything, treasonists, Bush I am being
ogismotheonly101 1 year ago
It appears to me that all of this centuries murderous wars, the hundreds of thousands of casualties, the millions of refugees, and the trillions of dollars that the people in my country the U.S. have been put into severe deep debt, can be traced directly back to those right wing extremists who have swallowed the two ingredient cool-aid of supporting Zionist neo-national-socialists theft of land and resources from Palestinians,
pleacher 1 year ago
and US neo-national-socialist control of Muslim oil, both of these two neo-national-socialists are otherwise combined as a team known as "neoconservatives."
The manipulation of our media continues this fascism which uses propaganda to pretend its conquests are but "fighting for freedom" or other such nonsense.
pleacher 1 year ago
Both Republicans and Democrats have been compromised in this propaganda blitz, and you can hear the heart of the problem listening to the ranting Bush supporter in this thread. Realize he is far-right... but that is where political power starts... and as it ends somewhere in the middle... the Left is pretty much completely powerless given that money and resources controls politics, and there are no mountains of money or resources to to be gleaned from a level, sharing, peaceful society.

Note these countries sent troops to Iraq Britain, Italy, Ukraine, Poland, Bulgaria, Spain; Denmark, El Salvador, Slovakia, Latvia, Estonia, Netherlands, Thailand, Romania, Australia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, and South Korea.
MissingGWdotcom 1 year ago
@PeterSodhi Note many many more countries sent finicial help to Iraq in support if the war was well. Note the 15 UN resolutions passes against Iraq over 12 years were Iraq charter 6 resolutions that say “Saddam must…..”, And all of the charter 5 resolutions passed against Israel but they say “it would be nice is Israel did…..” very very different. The reason is because the resolutions do not hold the pals accountable and are one sided. Thats how the UN works DUDE! lolol

MissingGWdotcom 1 year ago
@PeterSodhi From the third-ranking Republican in the House, GOP Conference Chairman Mike Pence (R-IN).
“There will be a cost if Turkey stays on its current heading,” Pence warned. “Turkey needs to count the cost.”
“The cost” Pence speaks of is a resolution that’s offered almost annually in the House to recognize the Armenian genocide. The non-binding measure notes how the Ottoman Empire (which controlled much of what is now Turkey) massacred the Armenian population in 1915.

There's no question that Saddam Hussein is a threat to the United States and to our allies. If Saddam persists in thumbing his nose at the inspectors, then we're clearly going to have to do something about it." Howard Dean September 29, 2002 DEAN WAS RIGHT!

@MissingGWdotcom Scot was right on the money, but you of course are more concerned about sex, because once again you can't speak to the issues.
I think you are disturbed. (due to your own guilt of supporting this tragedy)

@MissingGWdotcom
Let me know what this sentence has to do with Scot not doing his job.

@MissingGWdotcom Yeah, you applaud the act which will go down in history as the foolish beginning of the end of the US empire.
Just look at us now, you and yours are responsible, as well now as Obama.
pleacher 1 year ago
@pleacher The US empire, you mean the country that has done more good and freed more people than nay nation ever on the face of the earth? Oh and good news Saddam is no longer a state sponsor of terror funding groups like Hamas, shooting 1500 Kurds girls at a time, hanging Shiites daily in Freedom Square, shooting at USA pilots for 12 years, threatening his neighbors and Israel and France, Germany, Russia, and China are no longer doing illegal businesses with him.

@pleacher Right Obama appeasing evil around the world turning his back on the worlds repressed. Obama has turned out the light to the city on the hill for the world’s repressed as Obama kisses Chavez and takes his book as opposition runs for their lives, sees no difference in the opposition in Iran, tells China other things are more important than human rights, supports a want be dictator in Honduras, supporting Syria, against our allies like Israel and trashing America eveytime he gets, disgrace

a man with common sense about historical involvement in afganistan is an angry man.
but he is correct. Our initiatives in Afganistan and soon to be Yemen, are about converting ideologies into new ideologies by force.
shame on us, shame on those who invent policy that murders our soldiers under false pretense.

Your so right.

@utofbu It is right to be angry in this situation.
