Once the ball is in the air Anthony takes more steps to get back to the ball. It didn't touch the ring and when I played basketball that was a clear cut travel. The rules may have changed to allow it. That means if I pick up the ball on the three point line, throw it at the backboard, take 5 steps and jump to put it back in, I've still traveled those five steps.
