  • What is the name of the first song? i love it!

  • the difference between this and stirling bridge is that edward 1st is there and keeps a tight control of the mounted cavalry under his command allowing english infantry to engage the scotish spearmen , this allowed the massed ranks of longbowmen to thin the scottish lines before the king commited the heavy cavalry to rout the scots with heavy losses - William Wallace escaped on horseback . if you want to know about a leader read about the " Bruce " or henry beaumont @ dupplin muir

  • i have to give it to the scots and the british they been fighting alongside the united states for a while and im proud to call them my ally as a MARINE i have no greater respect then for the british and scots boy can those scots fight.

  • wtf ur video sucks i cant even see a thing and why did u had an armored warrioir? during the time of william wallace, he didnt had a heavy infantry he only had light infantry(peasants)

  • Wtf is this?

  • i cant see shit ... lol

  • why night omg? I don't see anything.

  • nice job

  • FREEDOM!!! from your ma!

  • Good video man.

  • nice vid like it

  • i cant see anything, too much darkness

  • whats the first song great job btw

  • ive been to falkirk battle field, looks nothing like that lol, good job anyways

  • lol... medieval total war xD haha, and by the way... the battle of falkirk wasn't fought at night aaaandddd..... bou a better computer that dosnt griddle.... but hey... it's very great done... a great movie... like it ;)

  • Robert the Bruce and Wallace knew each other.

  • what is the name of the song plzz some1 tell me

  • It was the English longbow that prooved decisive at Falkirk, not just vastly superior numbers.

  • If this is just for fun then it's a nice little movie, if it is meant as a history lesson then it is just pure nonsense. The battle took place around what's now the Village of Westquarter on the outskirts of Falkirk, The Scots took up a defensive position with a dense forest to the rear as protection from any heavy Calvary charge and an escape route if needed,

  • with a stream and marshland to the front preventing a full on Calvary charge from the English who had to take a long ride around the marsh to get to the Scots. The Scots Calvary were outnumbered and quickly dispersed by the English heavy Calvary, the Scots then formed in to 4 or 5 circles consisting of mostly pikemen, some archers and foot solders, forming a defensive porcupine shape.

  • The English Calvary took very heavy loses trying to break this new Scottish formation and eventually had to retreat back. Scottish and English foot solders then went head to head with the Scots getting the uperhand, the English archers were then brought out and fired a rain of arrows on to the Scots formations eventually wiping them out. Only a few hundred Scots survived the battle and managed to flee into the forest to avoid the onslaught of arrows.

  • Other Points:

The Welsh did attend the this battle but refused to fight and just looked on.

When talking about the Battle of Falkirk you should mention a date as Falkirk has two main battles, 1298 led by William Wallace and 1746 led by Bonnie Prince Charlie.

  • the welsh did fight they won the day for england them and there longbow

  • The Braveheart movie is a good movie but from an historical point of view it is total nonsense.

William Wallace and Robert De Bruce probably never met each other, or even knew each other for that mater.

One last thing.. England, like the Romans could not conquer Scotland, it was a Scottish King that eventually united the two Countrys.

  • they would have met each other wallaces brother was a member of the bruce faction and he possibly fought for wallace at falkirk because after the battle bruce burned his lands so england couldnt get provisions

  • That force consisted of an Irish General leading Scottish Highlanders with english training, equipment and understanding of warfare. That same force took Gawilghur (the strongest fortress in India which was built into a mountain) in 1803 with a handful of guns and ONE ladder.

Stop fighting and arguing, we form the greatest covenant of forces the world has ever seen.

  • You dont half talk crap

  • The battle of Assaye in 1803 is a perfect example of British co-operation.

We beat and turned an army of 40,000 indian troops with a force of 7000 and that doesn't take into account the inbalance of guns.

  • @twin2wo85 I take it that you are talking about the re-capture of Delhi from the rebels in india ?in the mutiny - regards .

  • As soon as the scots were incorporated into the british army they formed a very formidable unit on the battliefield.

At the end of the day I'm proud to be British and I'm proud that I'm English and I'm proud that we fight with the Scottish and I'm proud that our nature's work so well together.

  • @twin2wo85 totally agree with your coments .

  • @twin2wo85 I think we speak the same language as I too am proud of my english ancestry and respect the fighting spirit of the scots but the trouble is too few of the scots respect ourfighting spirit as demonstrated no better than @ dupplin muir in 1332 when 2500 english defeated a army of 12000 and made another scot army avaoid battle after it . .

Stirling bridge and bannockburn were english fu--ups just like flodden was a scots fuc--up

  • As for the english vs scots argument:

The english throughout history have been successful because they have a good blend of all the factors that are important in warfare. They have come out on top in nearly every confrontation. That doesn't mean thier opponents were weak or inferior it just means in the wider scheme of things the englishmen's nature put him in the better position.

  • Hello all!

I never intended for this video to be historicaly accurate. I think if it was you would get bored while watching. The battle served as a foundation for the movie and I chipped in a few facts of the time to make it interesting and 'seem' authentic. My priority is to entertain people that watch it, not give a history lesson!

  • @twin2wo85 Finally a gentleman who is proud of being British, rather than spamming nationalistic Scottish/English/Welsh/even Cornish nonsense.

Hopefully you aren't one of those fellows who believes that the Brits won Waterloo alone though

  • To be fair, the history in this "video" is all messed up. As someone below said, Robert the Bruce wasn't (as far as I know) mobile at the battle of Falkirk. I could be wrong. Nonetheless I'd like to give a big shout to this video that you've posted. It's very emotive and as far as I'm concerned it shows a lot of promise and you seem to have a talent and a flare for composition and drama. Keep it up friend.See you in Hollywood.

  • Scotland . . Brave , Wallace proved that, England had alot better cavavarlry ect but Scotland fought from the heart, England for the Land . . Simple as (Y)

    Bonnny Scotland ~*~

  • love the song :D

  • Robert the Bruce wasn't even there

  • No the English won many battles, usually outnumbered against Scots.

England win because we are English.

they lost because they are Scottish sub humans

  • ur really funny u know that

  • very good movie...

English army was better armed and outhnumbered Scots it is obviusly that they win.But William was the great man and general, and he only fight for freedom.

P.S. I am sorry on my very very bad English.

  • i like braveheart better.

  • Scottish are as brave as fuck. Strong and defiant too. English just outnumbered them 10 to fucking 1 and slighty better armour.

  • Well made!!!

  • Well at least it is more accurate than the battle depicted in Braveheart(shooting arrows into his own men=Ludicrous!). Edward the 1st was a brilliant tactician and despite outnumbering the enemy, a Scottish Schiltron was extremely hard to break back then.

  • It's called 'Here Comes The King' from The Chronicals of Narnia

  • What's the name of the song in the beggining?

  • i played this battle, made it as historical as possible.

if you ppl seen breaveheart you might see why i did it

  • ur computer looks like it works fine to me...

  • Excellent movie! You did the sound transition so well that I didn't realise that there were three seperate songs until I saw the credits. A Job well done!

  • would like to point out my last post was just a joke :) apart from the bees, they did die out in England during the first world war and were imported back in ;) (also very good video J :))

  • lol its very historically accurate, i was there, i know, the lancers died out shortly after the war only to be brother back a while after, kinda like Bees in the first world war, apart from the lancers not being imported

  • Hehe yea but I wanted a clear difference between the Scottish Cavalry and the English Cavalry, I put in the Description it's not historical. Thanks for the feedback tho :)

  • Really nicely done Video, music is very climatical, and descriptions gives some basical informations about the battle. But....Lancers in 1298? ;) Little unrealistic.

  • great video mate, really well made, like the descriptions and music.
