Crazy stuff this flooding Duane. Was watching it on TV in India last week. Gladstone was spared but there was some ridiculous fighting over bread and milk in the supermarket. One lady hit another with a block of cheese. Ridiculous! Guess some folks aren't aware what's important in life yet. You seem well able to channel a society's emotions and express them as an individual, not an easy thing. Nice work.

@BradPritts Hey Brad thanks mate...yeah this is the most i've wrote in so many years....it's starting to get back up there again....if i wasn't writting the way i am....i wouldn't of wrote a song on my feelings on such things....one of the things that inspired me to write this and there is a few things that did...but was a Pilots interview that was saving people off roof tops and how he wished he could save more but just couldn't get to everyone...and i lost a friend to flood waters years ago.

Crazy stuff this flooding Duane. Was watching it on TV in India last week. Gladstone was spared but there was some ridiculous fighting over bread and milk in the supermarket. One lady hit another with a block of cheese. Ridiculous! Guess some folks aren't aware what's important in life yet. You seem well able to channel a society's emotions and express them as an individual, not an easy thing. Nice work.

@Mindofjunk Yeah mate was starting to do that with my home studio but it broke on me so i have to try to get it fixed....or get a cheaper one....but not professionally recorded but....probably never do that....i think i could get a good sound in a home studio one day but :) cheers mate :)

One thing I LOVE about your music is the dark tone of it because you can really find truth in your lyrics. My heart goes out to those folks in Brazil, yes, I will give to relief. @onewomanandsomesongs hey Janet thank u for ur always great comments...and that they r back with more songs....and yeah Brasil looks like a really bad mess....poor buggers......the relief work over here has been amazing i think they had 50,000 people helping on the first day after the floods.....and we've had a lot of water in the whole country ...they said yesterday 500,000 sq km was flooded ..... around a 1/4 of the country.

Wow this song could speak for many people who just experienced that tragic flood. It must be a devastating one. I feel for all those people hurting now. That was great my buddy Duane to write this powerful meaningful tune,your lyric writing is some of the best I've heard. You get to the heart of a song,the love & pain & what life is about. :) You did this without any sleep too? I loved it,it came out so right,just the way it is. I could feel the rawness in it and that's what the song needs. :))

Nice one, Duane... this has a great reflective feel to it, very thoughtful. Your lyrics have been very precise lately. I may not remember correctly, but it seems to me that you've really been honing that skill in your last few songs. If so, nice job - it's inspiring. @BradPritts Hey Brad thanks mate...yeah this is the most i've wrote in so many years....it's starting to get back up there again....if i wasn't writting the way i am....i wouldn't of wrote a song on my feelings on such things....one of the things that inspired me to write this and there is a few things that did...but was a Pilots interview that was saving people off roof tops and how he wished he could save more but just couldn't get to everyone...and i lost a friend to flood waters years ago.

Holy crap Duane, this is beautiful. I understand the wrath of shit you all must be going thru down there. However, the emotions that it has awoke inside to create such a fantastic song is incredible. @PatrickGMoran thank u my friend some areas like close to and Brisbane have been the worst ....but the waters r so far spread it's going to take the country sometime to recover....i feel the worst for parents losing their children and beening helpless to save them...but some many where very lucky.....the death toll could of been in the thousands many be 100's of thousands if the water came up another meter or 2 in places...thanks mate...my heart also goes to people in direstraits.

@nessyvt Hey Vanessa....thank u mate for ur thoughts and comment....well the bad news is it may not be over yet with the grounds drenched and 2 Cyclones off the coast and many roads over a 1/4 of the country being cut off at different times for the last few months....things could get a lot worse if the Cyclone hits...i don't think we've had 7 days without rain where i am for 2 to 3 months well most of Queensland...so fingers crossed the Disaster area does turn into the whole state ?
