Finnair kick out all it workers one after the other, until there is remaining only upper management. Nowadays there is only pilots and flight attendants left. Others are been kicked out. Whole company is gone within year.

I love Finnair's advertisements! The commercials were playing on Singapore's TV channels until Finnair stops flying to Singapore.

But Finnair belongs to the oneworld alliance and from it already Qantas and BA fly between Europe and Australia so the demand would be REALLY low.. And it'd be very catastrophous if Finnair would spend their money to not-so-demanded-flights because Finnair is VERY VERY close to bankruptcy and only time can show if Finnair can stand with it's own feet or does it unite with SAS..

Finnair isn't on the verge of bankruptcy, though it certainly might be someday if things don't start going its way soon. But even if that doesnt happen, the Finnish state will no doubt subsidise the company until it's back on its feet.

FInnair actually focuses on route between Europe and Asia, therefore, it carry oneworld flyer from other EU country with stop over in Helsinki. hence the new Via Lounge and Via Spa are created. :) and with their new fully flatbed seat in Biz class + cheaper rate compare to other airline, I am sure they will take off!! :)

Im a finn and I must admit that Finnair does very neat adds but the reality is far away from them.. First of all, Finnair uses their MD-11 fleet nowadays only on charter flights. A330's and A340's are their planes that they use on normal long haul routes. Then one of you mentioned that it's very disapointting that Finnair doesnt fly to Australia. Yea.. I must admit it's very disapointting :(

@Huntrotartor Notices that this Ad is a bit old. At the time they did this their long-haul fleet was all MD-11's so that's why they have it on the Video. And the route's flying to Australia. It might be beyond the range of their Long-haul fleet and the demand might be too low to actually fly there straight. And the way they do it now is effective also.

I agree with everyone.... this commerical is one of the cutest I have ever seen. It makes me cry in the end... I had dreams of traveling around the world when I was a little boy, and my dreams came true. I was an exchange student in Finland back from 1998-99 and miss Finland so much. It is such a beautiful country and I have flown Finnair many times... it is by far one of the best airlines ever. Visit Finland if you can... it is always in my heart.

But picky as it may sound, the scene with the panda in the tree is not right, because there are no wild pandas in that province. Looks like Guangxi province judging by the cliffs around the river... So they could've done better research... It's like putting lions in Egypt. Just because it is in Africa.

Nope, they don't. Their only daily destination in North America is New York, but they have seasonal flights to Miami and some other cities I guess. They have codeshare flights with American Airlines.
