My cousin and i were sitting outside smoking a cig and heard a bunch of leaves being stepped on this was around 12:00 and then we hear this loud roar that sounded just like that hear in lafayette, louisiana ): it was very scary gave me the chills and gave my cousin and i the urge to go in the woods and look to see what it was instead we went inside locked the doors and windows and told the family they looked at us like we were crazy... so we went to sleep
I'm convinced this was a Sasquatch. That doesn't sound like a bear, and definitely not a mountain lion. Even if a bear had made that sound, it wouldn't have traveled so far, and been so loud and deep. My honest opinion.
Be careful man, you ought to take at least some kind of protection with you.. If not a weapon, something like a blow-horn or a whistle..? Any loud and obnoxious noise making toy.^.^

But either way if its harry with the hendersons or a big cat, never go into the woods without a good sidearm or shotgun for protection. Cause even with one you still are just counting your stars for a good uneventful time.

I just heard a roar outside. I love in the North Georgia mountains and this is LITERALLY, exactly what i heard. I thought it was a bear but after hearing this, its what i heard and bears dont sound like that

it sounds a bit like metal grinding together. you ever hear about how when a animal (or person) dies violently there last breath is turned into a scream or yell that is extremely loud. might of been some cougars fighting it out possibly and one met its maker and let out the roar. on the other hand i have heard a cougars scream and that dident really sound alot like a cougar vocalization to me. i live in oregon so we get mountain lions here pretty commonly where i live. be carefull out there.

i listined to it repeated times i cant tell if its machinery noise , since you said there were many things going on it sounds very echoey so idk but it is very very strange not disaproving about roar at all
next time when you hear that scream try wood knocking where you take a large stick and bang it against a tree ive heard of people doing this and getting a response from a bigfoot
@Blastman150 i live in Oregon and we have bobcats, and cougars and i can tell you right now that is not a bobcat roar. a bobcats scream probably twice the amount of noise a domestic cat makes when it screams maybe three times. that echoed through out the forest.
