According to NASA / USAF contrail formation science (see my videos), -35C is clearly required for contrails. These temperatures happen at altitudes around 8000m (26000 feet) where I live. We should not see trails lingering at low altitudes, typically around 5000 to 10000 feet.

ANY aircraft with ANY type of hydrocarbon-powered internal combustion engine will make such a contrail in the stratosphere when the temp is -40 and the air supersaturated, which happens in general for 17% of the time
A pound of kerosine makes 1.3 pounds of WATER when burnt. This 1.3 pounds of ice can cause up to 13,000 pounds of ice to precipitate out of the supersaturated air

According to NASA / USAF contrail formation science (see my videos), -35C is clearly required for contrails. These temperatures happen at altitudes around 8000m (26000 feet) where I live. We should not see trails lingering at low altitudes, typically around 5000 to 10000 feet.
