This girl is absolutely amazing. I am a dancer and am not nearly this good. I don't understand why she has to wear an outfit like that. Dance is not about how much skin you can show. I also don't feel any emotion when I watch her dance. It's like she's going through the motions-beautifully, don't get me wrong, but it means nothing. Keep up the nice work.

She's a very good dancer technically, but emotionally she just isn't there. I can understand why people wouldn't want to watch this, because there are so many studios and all they are looking to do is turn out flexible technically perfect girls for competitions. For some I guess that's great, but it means nothing when you dance because you need it to live and you need to express the release it gives you in your soul.

i think that this is the first little one ive seen that actually put some spirit and sould into her dance, i mean everything is perfect, ive always dreamed of being a ballerina, but my dad was ill, so it never came true... now im a cheerleader, but that is a good dance! I think she has quite lovely technique, but she needs to get higher on her demi-pointe on her turns. As for her emotion, she was only 11! She has and continues to gain the maturity in her expression and dancing as she ages, so give her a break.
The problem with these dancers is that they will have the flexibility and fast technique of a true ballet dancer, but not the strength, endurance and grace that also comes with good ballet training. They need to start with the basics, then move to modern; but if they don't they won't fulfil their potential.
She needs more emotion. And that has NOTHING to do with maturing. The 6 year olds at my studio have contemporary and lyrical solos and they make people cry when theyre on stage. She has freakin BRILLIANT technique though!!

I never expected to see negative comments on this one! I'm all for everyone having their own opinions... this is a great lyrical work!! She's young in this video to do everything she does on it!!! I couldn't get into it. The movements didn't match the song style at all, nor did the outfit or her facial expression. Sure, she's great with technicality. Yet, it doesn't move you, and I think that is more important.
Wow, you sure turn like a top, girl! I think this number is lovely, and you're very solid in your technique. I would just work on your arches so that your relevé doesn't drop as your turning. But I'm sure that won't be a problem, seeing that you're so good at just 11 years old (and the fact that this was two years ago =P )

this is a great lyrical work!! She's young in this video to do everything she does on it!!! I can imagine what she would be abble to do in a future!! besides, she puts feelings, maybe she should try harder in that part, but this only will give it to her the experiences on the stage and the years :D amazing!! go girl!

she's very flexible and has amazing extension but thats all she really does in this dance is kicks and turns. she is pretty amazing though.

Alexis is a beautiful turner, I just felt like the choreography wasn't quite up to par. Other than that, she is certainly a beautiful dancer and one to watch in the future!

I couldn't get into it. The movements didn't match the song style at all, nor did the outfit or her facial expression. Sure, she's great with technicality. Yet, it doesn't move you, and I think that is more important.

Wow, you sure turn like a top, girl! I think this number is lovely, and you're very solid in your technique. I would just work on your arches so that your relevé doesn't drop as your turning. But I'm sure that won't be a problem, seeing that you're so good at just 11 years old (and the fact that this was two years ago =P )
