Love this idea! I only had the darker, kraft twine but I did the same thing and it is a really cool effect if you use Sharpie markers. Thanks so much!
Great Idea and tutorial. Thanks for sharing. I have lots of crochet thread and a box full of sharpie markers, guess I need to get some cardboard and get busy. Thanks again. As for just buying it ...Why buy more stuff when you can use what you have an abundance of already, Save up the money to get new toys I dont have or cant make. :)
:D I've seen it mentioned that the twine is so cheap why not just buy it? But the colours (at least at first) were so limited. I wanted that minty green but you couldn't get pastels at all certainly not in the UK.
Wow...I've thought about trying to make my own Baker's Twine but didn't have a clue where to start. I never would have come up with this great idea. Thanks!! Can't wait to try it.
Thanks so much for sharing this!!! I bought some twine at a Lowe's....I thought I could make my own from that. I just saw this video....I can't wait to try it now...I wasn't sure how I was going to get the color on it!!!
I love that you shared this. I have tons of the crochet cotton and well markers I have lots of as well. So now to make my own in designer colours! Thank you
wicked cool tip and I must try this, I feel the same way wish CTMH sold baker's twine and it's hard to find where I live...thanks for sharing and thanks for being a facebook friend.
I only use three kinds of music - this type, which is my FIL's bluegrass band Mill Run Dulcimer Band (Sullivan's Hollow is the title of the song), copyright free music from Incomptech, or Audio Swap selections (which I don't use now cause you can't adjust the volume levels :)) HTH!
Thx, I am going to try this for sure! I love using the bakers twine and have a hard time paying the price for it! Now, thanks to you, I can make my own.
Thanks so much for sharing that!!!! I am in awe of how real it looks and talk about saving money! Loving it!!!!! Now I dont have to be picky about what I use my twine one....yeay!!!!
This is the reason I love YouTube. I get to watch videos from VERY talented people who have come up with a special idea that I would have never thought of.
This is one of the tips that I say " Why didn't I think of this?"
You are wonderful!!! Thank you!!
