Mr. Raju Bharatan had written a few things about Lata in Times of India, more than 10 years ago. People like Vasant Desai, Chitalkar and Sudhir Phadke were accessible to common man like me. So just wait and see. More things may come up. Many are dead but still some are alive.

Suman Had her own style. She never copied Lata. Lata is mean-minded selfish and over ambitious. She ruined Kishori Amonkar at the onset. Kishori by no chance resembled Lata. Pt. Hridaynath had given Kishori two beautiful songs in Marathi written by Shanta Shelke, before the ugly incidence. Lata should get a slap before her death for her wrong doings.

SHE & LATA TAI R BOTH GREAT IN THEIR OWN PLACES. They, Asha B & such other artists R various separate divine entities.The quarrels / clashes between them may have been just myths. I don't believe anybody suppressed anyone.Shining stars always shined 2 those (like U & me) who had real taste, devotion & admiration 4 them.

@amashaize yes she is still living. She is a muslim girl, very beautiful but not much of an actress. In those days actresses ruled, so maybe she thought she did not have much of a chance or maybe she just did not care for acting, anyway, she got married & moved to the middle east. She may be still there now or may have come back to India
