  • ughi HATE when people say they "could care less". ive even seen it in books and im like ''nnnnoooo!''

  • I liked your caring chart! So funny. XD

  • My favourite is bringing up Marx. One of my profs is a Marxist historian so I always get bonus points with him for bringing up Karl but all my classmates always have blank stares on their faces.

  • scale of caring ^_^ reminds me of david mitchells soapbox rant on americans using the english language.

    Love your videos btw

  • This doesn't make you sound smart.

  • @craphappychinesepapy xD That's kind of the point!

  • @shessomickey Oh. Well the title is slightly misleading. Funny video though.

  • he totally betrayed me in the same mannor as anikin skywalker did to the jedis in star wars hahaha

is that good enough? it was off the topp of my head XD

  • im trying to better myself but looks like i gotta long way to go since i watch this video many times and still am scratching my head :( sad for a 23 yrd old

  • When I was in college, I took and honors science class. Every day the teacher would say something, this guy Tim would make a comment that was clearly wrong, the teacher would diplomatically correct him, then this girl who seemed to have no relationship with Tim would say "I don't think that's what Tim was saying. [insert her twisting what TIm was saying here]". It was so funny.

  • These are great. I did that kind of thing in college. It worked fine in science where I did know what I was talking about, but one time in English (short story lit) I was going on about my views about the assignment and a voice from the back of the room (of about 20) said "Why don't you just shut up!?"

    And I did.

  • haha... thanks for that... too bad int's my senior year... I should just start over now that I know how it's done ;)

  • Hahaha. Wonderful tips--and so very true. Especially as an English major. *shakes head*

  • haha, a really cool video! I will try some of your tipps ;)

  • I legitimately thought that being on "the straight and narrow" was actually being on "the straightened arrow" until about a month ago. I'm 23. How's that for letting people know you have room to grow!

    hilarious video :)

  • @RowlfWannabe Oh, that is wonderful. xD

  • Ahahaha this video is amazing! So true!!! :)

  • Please be in my sub box more often

  • Many of these things hold true however I must add a few Lessons I learned From Culinary School:

Use the little French you know(preferably out of context)"You call that a beurre noisette?!"

Reference famous dead chefs "And how do you think Escoffier would feel about that plating?"

    ALWAYS mock the French Chefs.

  • The "Plato ripping off of the Matrix" made me laugh.

  • It's funny cause it's true! lol

  • it also helps to start sentences with the word "typically" and to constantly remind everyone that correlation does not mean causation.

  • To topple onto what Amanda just said in this video, which was more structurally assembled than the plot of Zombieland, any Shavian would agree that the text is greener on the other end. Does that make sense?

  • @keeporjot You're doing it right!

  • Wow :D Sounds like Model UN.

  • wouldnt negative numbers on the care chart be hate? and i think the hate scale should go to 1337

  • Hahahahhaha I can't wait to go to college now xD

  • This video is super great! Plus I actually know about Brecht, so I feel slightly smart :)

  • @thepappytube For better or for worse ;)

  • I think I'll be using these in a few years...

  • :) This video is great.

Also, your haircut is super cute! You are always getting such super cute haircuts!

  • @AmaroqxTheWolf Thanks on both counts! I like this haircut ^^

  • The couldn't care less visual is so superb.

  • Very funny!

  • Well done. I'm married to the idea that words are fantastic to utilize when attempting to boost your social standing amongst friends. But one must remember, that words with three syllables or more are essential for sounding intelligent. Such as Juxtapose or Prostitution. Phrases such as consecutive infringements for prostitution will win you much recognition. What I'm trying to say is, memorize and episode of Law and Order: SVU, and you shall be grand. Thank you. Good job.

  • @TheMissingSignal I love this comment! Haha, thanks!

  • Hahaha, totally want to try these now while I'm just chilling with my friends. I can already see their terrified expressions and hear their cries of "Oh God, WHAT HAS COLLEGE DONE WITH YOU?!!?"

  • @RecordsAndPostcards That sounds like an excellent plan!

  • I don't remember subscribing to this channel, but this video appeared in my Subscriptions. But I'm glad that YouTube subscribed me to you, because that was entertaining.

  • @TheCoryKid Thanks! I may have been in someone's "recommended channels" box, but I hope you stick around ^^

  • I love it! Can't wait to start uni next year to try them out!

  • I love this video. And your dress (yay Target!). : )

  • @Meggerz46 *high five*

  • I think I'm going to have to think about how to BS a critique and do a video response.

  • @ChateauOfADoubt DO ITTTTTTT

  • I had no idea what you just said =)

  • Your hair really suits you! It frames your gorgeous face like a boss!

  • @RoxinPunch Thanks, lady!

  • bahahahhahahhahahahahhahaha I'm still laughing. You're great. FAVORITED.

  • @ChateauOfADoubt <3 Thank youu.

  • Oh dear, I'm so scared for college...

  • @PrettyFascinated xDDD AS YOU SHOULD BE.

(No, it's actually magical, but this does happen.)

  • You are fantastic

  • "You, sir, just pulled a Lefebre." (Also the most irritating phrase I notice is "for all intensive purposes," and your Scale of Caring is marvelous.)

  • @slavicpolymath D'oh! True!

  • I love your scale of caring. People who say "I could care less" is one of my pet peeves.

When in doubt, just say, "I'd answer you, but Wittgenstein already demonstrated the uselessness of that."

  • @kenrg Epiiiiiiic

  • Yeah, I love this.

  • Hahaha. Goodness. So true.

  • Don't forget to answer questions with rhetorical questions.

  • @peart DANG. Should have remembered that one.

  • Hahahhaha I'm gonna try this. I'll comment on your next video how it went

  • @pellebibi Read that disclaimer, haha, but I look forward to hearing how it goes ;)

  • THIS.

    This whole video.

  • @hshea11 xD

  • I always watch videos till the very end and it's always worth it haha :D.

  • @Tetley93 A good strategy! That's where the best stuff often lies.

  • This made me giggle a lot. Luckily for me, I only had to take part in open-discussion classes in first year - now I can get by just by falling asleep in the lectures and pretending to do work in tutorial :P

Also, your hair looks really nice in this video.

  • @songsfrompaul Thanks, Paul! Trying it a lot shorter than usual.

  • lmao. Good job!

    :)

  • I got really frustrated in my music ed. class when we were supposed to be talking about ways to describe music and explain musical performances in comparative terms. My group was talking about two performances of March to the Scaffold from Symphonie Fantastique by Berlioz, and we explained various reasons why we liked one performance over the other, and a girl in the class said "No, the other one's better. The character's all wrong on that one!" WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN!?

  • @fizzylimon I read this comment in your voice in my head, and cracked up at the last line. The character is... wrong? Whaaa?

  • I love this video just on that last point silence either means: A. You've said something astounding, or, B. You've said something moronic. I did a lot of speaking in class and as did one other girl but one tip is don't take two minutes of talking to form your question or just state information to your lecturer as if you're teaching them, she did that and her peers contemplated gagging her. In saying that I know they contemplated gagging me at times for arguing with her.

  • @genericfirstname This is true, the astounded!silence can be mistaken for dumbfounded!silence. Actually, both could be caused by moronic-ness or intelligence... hmm...

  • God, that annoys me so much when I hear people say "I could care less". I'm just like, "you know what you're saying makes no sense!". Yeah, pointless but I needed to say it.

Also, LOL at "Plato is definatly ripping off the matrix" XD

  • Nooooo if only I'd known these handy tips when I was still in university! D:

  • I think I've known of movies that have used your advice. :) This is hilarious!

  • amazing!

  • haha scale of caring

    so glad this was uploaded

    :)

    amazing video

    well done

  • @dsclubhouse1 Thank you!

  • LOL the disclaimer was amazing.

  • @KyleTroyful Thank you for taking the time to read it!

  • excellent tips! u should be about finished with the novel, right? :)

  • @mickeltrue I *should* be, but I only got halfway :( There's always next year!

  • @shessomickey that's great ma'am! halfway is a lot better than i could ever do! great vid as always. c ya ...

  • Your hair. Oh my. I love.

  • @Nerdfighteratalie <3 Thanks bb!

  • *hasn't taken Lit Theory yet*

    Overall, good tips, Amanda!

    - Jason

  • @crimsong19 Neither have I, but I do have classmates who have!

  • hair cut? it's true! #ughh. lmbo. #ohmygoodness you're ridiculous, but this was great. :) haha. I'm glad that we both had no idea what you were talking about. ;)

  • @supersharayah Thanks! I like the ridiculous sometimes ^^

  • "The minimum limit of caring has been reached!" I am so going to start using that. #LOL

I'm afraid not all of your professors are smart. Though, I hope they all care.

  • Everything about this was right! "The minimum limit of caring has been reached!"

  • How about how to sound like you went to college without actually going to college? See? Work on that one why dontcha.

  • lol@ the disclaimer

  • If you had no idea what you were talking about, then you just taught us how to sound smart, not just in the class room, but on Youtube! So then you actually do know what you're talking about :)

    Does that make any sense?

  • @asimpleseed Muahaha, I see what you did there ;)

  • I love your scale of caring!

  • @evmoneyTV ;) Thanks!

  • Jumping off of the points you made in this video, I feel like Plato would grapple with Hemingway on the penultimate point, in the way that it could be related to Good Will Hunting and the subtle imagery within Bambi. Does that make sense?

    ...

    Am I doing at right?

  • @SpeedyReedyTV Yes. Yes, you are. :D

  • Haha, this is so clever and dorky. I love it!

Great to see your face again. =)

  • @phampants Thanks! Dorky is what I do best ;)

  • This is lulzy. I love it.

  • Haha oh my god thank you for the caring scale. I hate the everyone says that wrong!

  • Nice. Here's another tip I learned today... "You can see from the diagram that..." but never talk about what 'diagram' you're referring to.

I ought to use number 2 more often.

  • lol

  • I love you and your Scale of Caring. This was beautiful.

  • @LizzieRadio <3
