The Bible was written thousands of years before the the Holocaust and Hitler.

The "win" over Japan worked because of some additional factors as well:
- The japanese were not negative to you and probably tired of war.
- The political situation in the country before and during the war.
- The US managed the nationbuilding afterwards. This is what hasn't gone so well in Iraq. Poor planning before the liberation has to accept a lot of the blame for the current situation IMO.
