I’ve put all of your Titanic songs into a playlist so that I can cycle through them automatically. They are such a joy to listen to, especially when working on my Titanic model or relaxing in general. Thanks for uploading these songs, I really appreciate it!
@austincarlisle1 Yeh, the Olympic was 500 miles away at the time, and their wireless operators were picking up the distress signals from Titanic that night...Then the Britanic was sunk by mines in WWI.
I'm 18 and same here. I remember when we first bought the film in I think it was 1999. I was so excited to watch it!, we sat around the TV that night, stuck the VHS tape in (LOL), and watched it. I was only 6 so my parents skiped the sex scene, haha. That film just cemented my love-affair with that ship. Its sheer grandeur, luxury and technological advancement just could not be matched by any other Vessel in the world at the time.
RMS/SS/USS Imperator/Berengaria indeed superseded the Olympic class liners in size. But not in granduer and luxury. Titanic remains to this day the most luxurious passenger liner of all time. RMS Queen Elizabeth III has tried to match or surpass her luxury, I have not seen the QE3 yet so I cannot give a definitive yes or no on that. But certainly Titanic was the most luxurious liner in history untill 2010.
I agree with you there. Titanic has some of the most beautiful interiors; tastefully elegant. A lot of other ships had ostentatious decor and soaring two-story dining halls that made the ships top heavy. What Titanic lacks compared to this other ships is the looming impressiveness. Just compare Normandie's giant Cocktail Lounge with eglonated lights gracing the walls to Titanic's cozier Louis IXV Lounge.
@Ericah81 Been a Titanic Nerd since 5th grade (when I was 10 and now I'm 16!) :D I'm OBSESSED with not only the movie but the ship itself! And the sister ships! (Britannic, olympic, Lusitania, Andrea Doria, etc)...
@KingBlackCharger I used to know all of the titanic lingo, until I took a job to the face :( Keep it up kid, you have taken over my spot, as I used to have just about every book, video, model that could fit. My favorite waltz is on the blue Denube. Best song ever!
@Ericah81 Wow dude, I was one myself back when I was 10. Feels great knowing that we are the kind of kids who would love to go on a sub to see it before it collapses rather than go partying.
