I wish I played classical music this well when I was your age. Are you using standard notation or TAB?

I'm using tablature. I will confess that I can only read tab to a reasonable standard - I can play up to about grade 3ish with standard notation I think.

I prefer standard notation, but most of the world seemingly wants TAB. Regardless, keep up the good work!

Tab makes more sense - it both tells you what notes to play AND where to play them. It's much easier I think.

I love the sound of acoustic instruments in the open air but the volume seems to get sapped right out of them, I find.

Do you mean proofs for a book? That's great, Jamie! I don't know many your age that aren't getting lots of sleep. Seems to be all they do. A little more than you are getting might be wise, however. This was great, and I like the sound of it in the open air.

Being the holidays, it's quite normal to stay up late. I've basically slid my whole body clock forwards a couple of hours, bed later then up later.

I always like the acoustics of my instruments in the garden, my guitar especially. :)
