  • ofcourse the wall collapses that way when the machine is pushing it. usually when you push something it falls to the opposite direction. btw does anyone know the name of the song ?

  • The buildings footings were not tied into the wall structural.

Aftere the first time thay could have made a bigger safty guard

around the site..Lucky no injuries ouch

  • I sure hope William B. Davis wasn`t inside.

  • the operator should get fired..... idiot

  • @mikelavallee7 what would you have done differently? just wondering

  • Smart! Wow I am disgusted!! I hope Worksafe is ALL OVER THESE GUYS!!

  • thats why you spnd the money and hire a professional company. Now they how to spend more money anyway paying for all the damage. they deserve to pay for their stupid decisions. stupid stupid

  • "smoke? anyone?"

  • @ilivehere1

they are designed to do that so where cars hit them it doestnt do as much damage to the car and the driver.

  • lol

  • :D!!!!!!!!!

  • Third world? No Vancouver.

  • I love how the construction sign appears to be next to the truck and not behind it. I wonder if there were any other signs warning people.

  • Too much pot

  • failure to plan is a plan to fail.

  • The operator's moves are jerky and tentative; his moves show a poor understanding of physics and construction; the barriers are obviously inadequate and merely for show; traffic should NOT be moving in those streets with this going on! This sort of a sideshow is an embarassment for the entire industry.

  • Oops?

  • WTF!! Did it once and did it again...amazingly stupid. That light standard is gonna cost a pretty penny to replace.

  • holy cow - nice company. saved $ by using only one guy.

why didnt they knock it down from the other direction ??

  • Maybe this Global called company should change thier name to "goofball" and run warning ads in local media warning people they will be at a job site

  • Instead of stopping after the first collapse onto an open street to see whether there's a better way of approaching this demolition, this fool company keeps on smashing and risks everybody's safety, dropping another slab of concrete onto the other street? This driver needs to be fined, the supervisor taken out of the construction industry forever and the company have its license taken away. Will any of that happen? Having lived in Vancouver, I say with confidence: probably not.

  • idiots who's this idiot operator? worse than him is the construction manager he is super asshole

  • wow..serious problem...more training needed

  • Woooooooooooooooooooooah!!!

  • Whats that song's name?

  • nothing like continuing work after the first wall collapses!

  • What a horrible demolition crew...I mean...two times?!

  • Moral to story: don't use Global contractors

  • Wow the guy standing near the collapse in the end either have balls of steel or is retarded. Either way he would have to change his pants after that.

  • Hahhaahha... i think that guy never got his license to operate that machine.

  • What? They were allowed to continue after the first CF?

  • Fuckin idiots. A child could've seen that a tiny, short blue fence wouldnt prevent that wall to collapse onto the streets. Get a clue. Widen the perimeter of the fencing, and give more room for yourselves to complete the demolition process.

  • holy moly!! luck that no one was injured.

  • this is what happens when construction workers smoke weed on the job, happens quite often, no drug testing...or they are illegal immigrants!!

  • where is Worksafe BC when you need them? Somebody needs to be taught a lesson on what to do when you demo a building.

    bad scenario.

  • omg, they resumed like nothing happened after the 1st fiasco, unbelievable.

  • why were these idiots allowed to continue after the first collapse? it must have been this guys first day on the job eh

  • @Tombzy it was 2 different guys. after the first wall fell over, he got out and an older gentleman took the controls and knocked the second wall into the neighbouring street

  • How come they continue after the first collapse!!!!

  • AWESOME!

    ...display of incompetence.

  • Talk about a tough day at the office for that guy or what!

  • I can't believe they were just allowed to keep pushing it into the street...wtf?

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAHHH!!!!

  • as a certified Vancouver, B.C. safety officer I have never heard of fucking "Global"; and they DO NOT have COMMAND of their work area or the fall radius. WorkSafe, hangem high!

  • OMG.

  • omg that was the worst than the first fall hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahaha

  • Ummmm...how NOT to demolish.

  • That was rough ... There should have been some cables tied to those walls to keep the pressure inward. That first incident was inexcusable, the second should have had an engineers input before attempting. Just my 2 cents.

  • This is a major violation, and the company will likely be fined. The site foreman should have told the excavator operator how he would like the walls safely knocked down. Some operators have never done demolition but only to have done excavation. The company is lucky it did not hurt or kill anyone. Hopefully, the company will learn from this.

  • LOL fking idiots. Glad to hear no one was hurt. Funny to watch though.

  • OMG

  • that dude fired himself twice

  • OMG!!! That's just awful!!

  • wtf ? Who authorized this train wreak?

  • LOL must of been that bc bud

  • This demolition contractor has demonstrated willful and wanton disregart for public safety and should be out of business and in prison.

  • I don't know what is more scary: the fact that the first wall fell into the street, or the fact that after the first incident, they knocked the second wall down the same way.

Me thinks WorkSafeBC will be contacting you in the next few days.

  • I laughed so hard, especially after seeing the first one.

  • Ok, that was OBVIOUSLY going to happen! I could tell before it showed! The way they build outside walls, there's a separation between floors pulling it is nfg! STUPID

  • Who are these demo people? Is there no training for this profession?

  • Haha oops...

  • That's what you get for hiring "Two Small Guys with Big Drinking Problems Demolition".

  • woops!

  • I guess we don't need the CBC anymore.

  • Careful.... careful... ah screw it.

  • I wonder where that light ended up after it came down. Someone's car?

  • Looks like helmet weather out in YVR

  • Building doesn't respond! Again, rig in front guys! Push don't pull.

  • failblog.org

  • over confident, over payed

whoever hired these idiots, are idiots

  • so dangerous!

  • I think this demolition company just imploded.

  • Once again why in the heck wasnt the stree temp closed. Im surprised noone got killed.

  • rofll. what a fail

  • someones looking for a new job today!

  • Thats fuckin brutal

  • This construction company should have its demo licence revoked... can you imagine if you were walking by this and a wall fell on you? twice?

  • Idiots! ........

  • OHNOES!!

  • Fantastic!

  • Wow I hope someone got fired for that.

  • lmao.

  • The guy working the machine is not qualified!

  • What a fuckin total disregard for safety. You'd swear we lived in a 3rd world country with that kind of skilled professionalism.

  • epic fail

  • What a gong show, the demo company needs to be preemptively sued for criminal negligence.

  • LOL! I said, "Fire that guy!"

  • Love the way this just snaps the light standard like a twig lol

  • @ilivehere1 They are "break away" poles so that in the event a car hits it it will break off so there is less damage to the car, if it was concrete it would likley of been different.
