  • glasgoaeyae accent

  • this guys a ryt gok

  • This videos confirms the similarities between the Liverpool and Scottish accents. No one can deny at all that both might be a variant of each other between 01:10 and 01:35, thus ruling out the possibility of an isolated accent, but on the contrary an average one say between standard Enlish and Scottish, with a bit of something else (Irish or Scandinavian influence they say, on the Liverpool one). The Liverpool accent along with the Scottish and posh London accents are the ones good to listen to.

  • here us this wan in yer next video i have a muff on ma chin

  • mate sumdy's givin' you right good chibbin, smashed up yer face ya daft bugger

  • Had to show a friend your video! You're freakin hilarious and the Scottish accent, well, it and New York/New England accents, are my favorite.

  • ...thats wish there WERE more Scots here...

  • Great video series! I have a friend from Glasgow, she has been in America for 8 years, her accent is as strong as ever. She seems to roll her R's a little more than you do and she has this scratchy voice, which sounds great. Sure wish there was more Scots here. Met a lot of her family, strong people.

  • omg now i'm afraid to apply for a uni in Scotland :D

  • yer vids are awrite mate. what ye upti the day? you cummin oot later aye? ;-)

    scottish, and proud.

  • Dude your accent is soooo hard to understand. Irish or English accent is no problem. Would take a long time to feel like I could understand most of what you said. Yes I am from the USA and almost never run into somone with a Scottish accent.

  • i swallowed my tongue trying this

  • Oh good, i thought that was a rangers shirt there, i was going to warn you lol.

  • I have been researching the origins of the Appalachian accent (that's where i'm from) i found out that it basically derived from the Scottish accent... but I can't hear it ... at ALL! Its a cool sounding accent and all i just don't understand how my accent came from it... Anyways you Scottish people should ppl go watch some vids of Appalachian accents if ya want and see if you can hear and similarities :)

  • That was great!!! Very interesting accent :)

  • Love it dude. For some reason I like to get my accents down so I practice them whenever I'm bored. I'm not an actor or anything. I might use them for a con someday.

    Thanks from america.

  • Funny as fuck, but mate, whats your problem with Rangers? Is it cause they ken how to play fuckin football ? ;)

  • absolute shite!

  • I'm french, and i've been in scotland when i was 16 in a language study trip. And i've experienced scottish accent weird way. As any teen of that age, we were speaking all the time about girl. But with their way to pronounce it, i understood "gallows". And i spent a few days wondering what kind of fucked up people can talk about gallows all the time and smiling before i get it...

  • Your posh british "translation" got me every time. Hilarious! XD

  • @oyasuminasaix Cheers, thanks a lot .

  • You remind me of Ryan Dunn - R.I.P Ryan

  • @BassmrDK indeed. sad one that. But I'm very much alive. Thankfully.

  • I love the Irish accent. Knew a man fresh off the boat, as they say and he spoke so that NO ONE in our shop could understand him. He did eventually come around and he refined his speech a little. After that we all had a fun time. We worked in a tv repair shop. That was in the early '70's. God Bless. Donna

  • @DanandDonna1 Ye realise this isnt an irish accent though ?. Its Scottish. Just sayin'

  • @DanandDonna1

I apologise, but I feel obliged to inform you that this is not an Irish accent.

  • pish

  • @ohcrob nah mate shite. no pish.

  • You sound exactly like Frankie Boyle!

  • @DaNiHaLL96 That'll be because we were raised about 8 streets away from each other . Cheers.

  • Your Received Pronunciation accent sounds very good to me, especially for such an strong underlying Scots accent, but what consistent mistake I think you're making with it is rolling your 'r's just as you would when speaking naturally: For example, when you said, "beverage", you sounded almost German! (Something with the 'v' as well). Anyway, cheers for the nice vid.

  • @IoevaSanctusUnus Hmm, I'm not putting on this accent or attempting to mimick it Its how i naturally talk. cheers

  • mey home town

  • :( im part scottish and i don't have that accent, if i try to sound scottish its bad :( im like 70% scottish because that my nana is from scotland.

  • @101blackhorse then your not scottish ya fud

  • @101blackhorse If you weren't born and raised in Scotland, why would you expect to have a Scottish accent? Furthermore, why would you expect to inherit an accent from your gran? My dad's from Belfast, but I never expected to get an accent...

  • you could still learn a accent even if you wern't born in that country say you were born in the United States and you move to my home country of England if you live there for a year or two you can still learn a Britsh accent

  • @manchesterunited170

That's not what I'm saying, mate. I'm saying: If you weren't born in Scotland, why would you expect to have a Scottish accent? I'm not saying you can't learn an accent, just that you shouldn't expect to have a Scottish accent if you weren't born in Scotland.

  • Is soo werid watching this and realising what i sound lol haha. Also anyone who reads this, this really is what we talk like down to a tee. Its not like awk-aye-the-no as no one uses it, but we do use these everyday :D good video mate

  • @bigbillbob88 Cheers mucker.

  • your accent is as funny S MY OLD BLACK MOTHER

  • @OhnivyBlesk Well, she is hilarious . Cheers

  • It should be dram instead of booze.

  • @ToonArmySeanC Nah, dram is archaic old and outdated. No one used that except for maybe whisky. and only then at new year or so on.

  • @GlesgaKnow Alright, well, where i live its still in common usage. Assumed it was everywhere in scotland. But the highlands is archiac old and outdated :L. Anyway its a good video, well done, better than these american tossers that try it.
