I do somewhat believe that carrier based naval strategy is obsolete. China's Dong Peng 21D or Russias Sunburn potentially ended carriers. And Iran could possibly have one or both. However in a war with Iran Israel and USA would win hands down. Further more I agree with VerumadNauseam. Seems like the original M-5 wouldn't turn but rather would go very straight ("Poseidon's whip"). No sense to lose speed with A-warhead though.

I believe this is the Russian "Sizzler". Iran bought a few of these. It travels at high subsonic speed and accelerates to Mach 3 as it approaches its target. The US Navy's Aegis defense system was not capable of defending against it a few years ago, but defenses were being developed, so probably we need not worry.
