virgin atlantic have cancelled their order of 6 a380-800's and opted for 7 787's and 2 next generation a340-600's.... a380 set to be the most unsuccessful modern airliner in the last 10 years

@MissThunderPuss as far as i know the A380 orders have only been delayed, not cancelled. They were planned for 2006 but they were pushed back to 2013 due to some problems with Airbus. And if Airbus is going to keep delaying the A380's, I can hardly see the A380 ever becoming successfull! Thanks for your comment!

@loveacruise1 Except you have a rota, so you fly from different airports to other different airports, you never are 100% guaranteed to get your airport you are based at. Even then, you fly all over the world, not to just one remote area.

Landing the A380 is a pain, I use the Wilco one, but if you are used to flying the 747 it's not too bad. The landing looked fine, just slightly overshot maybe?

@destyrian thanks very much! Yeah the landing was overshot, and the weird thing is I'm used to flying the jumbo more than any other plane, and I still had a hell of a time trying to land this A380. The landing you see in the video was one of about 20 attempts I recorded >.< Thanks for commenting! :)

@Bugglesfan79 It seems like a good landing to me. To be honest I'm not sure that I like flying the A380. My version at least, I have to keep the nose up 5-10 degrees to maintain level flight even on full power. Landing isn't too bad, actually this is the only plane that I feel landing is easier than taking off!

@Bugglesfan79 I also have this A380 from Wilco! It really SUCKS! The cockpit is really unrealistic and the gear too. And it's really hard to land and need the double runway to take-off

@faz4321 You're welcome! Most people record the movement of the aeroplane, using either the default recording system in fsx, or by an add-on like Fs Recorder. and then when they play it back, they record it with a screen recorder, so you can know where you are going. Glad to have been of help :)

@klssketches Microsoft Flight Simulator X , the aircraft is from Abacus, the traffic is from World Of Ai , and the sky textures are from Real Environment Extreme. Recorded using Fraps and edited with Sony Vegas Pro 9.

The aircraft is payware, from the Abacus website, though I recommend Overland's Airbus payware package instead, as it handles way better!

Yeah I know, that's pretty much the only flaw with the Abacus A380, apart from being too darn hard to land :P
